I can hear the complaints about the Cold Heart now...

*Game releases and it turns out to be better than most people expected*
*People who didn't pre order flock to buy the game, thus they don't get the Cold Heart right away*
*Non-Pre Order players enter the crucible and get killed by the Cold Heart*

Since when do people defend pre order bonuses? Did I miss something? I thought everyone hated them because they encourage paying for a game long before you know anything about it and how finished it is

[b][u]Don't offer special s**t.[/u][/b] It really is that easy. * If you pre-ordered: kudos. Thanks for the show of faith. If you didn't, no worries, you wont miss out on anything. * Bought the game months after launch? Excellent! Welcome aboard. Everything is available to you that was available on launch day. * Console-specific exclusives? No, no we don't do that. We won't play favorites with one community over another. Our game is for everyone, and everyone gets access to the same stuff, at the same time. * basic edition vs deluxe edition with extra in-game goodies? Nope. None of that. We might offer a deluxe edition with out-of-game extras, like a bobble-head or a steelcase, but never extra in-game stuff. See above. * Different access/launch dates depending on platform? Again, no. See above: everyone at the same time. See how easy that is? If you treat everyone the same then no one will complain about not getting something someone else has (outside of being plain unlucky and RNG-eesus hating them). But they wont do that. Few if any developers or publishers these days will. It's all about money now, and if one platform is willing to pay more for some exclusive stuff then that's what the bean-counters will demand be done. The almighty dollar rules, not artistry, not storytelling, not fostering a good relationship with your community. It's money.

Gave bungie my 100 bucks the moment pre orders were up after the special event. Can't wait. Yeah it sucks for other to have to wait for 3 months. Just pre order the game. U know u are going to play it anyway. Plenty time to save up

You would have a point there of it was available only for pre-order Guardians ONLY for as long as D2 is running. The Coldheart will be available to all Guardians in Dec 2017...... Does not matter if you buy the game now or later, you still get the weapon as some point.

Bungie is trying a pathetic business tactic that will alienate and create more problems on their userbase. If you want more trust me you'll get more things as if this desparation continues , we may see more actions like this by Bungie Activision will chase you both to moon Luke + John co ltd...
