If someone kills your Oracle, be a man and kill the next one you see
All I hear during the Atheon fight is "stop killing my oracle" and "I got third" or "let me kill the next one". Just go into the portal, kill any Oracle you see. Its not that hard.
Edit 1: Anita Sarkeesian will probably throw a fit that I am calling people to man up. So be a woman too if that fits your gender...

Its not that hard.[/quote] Or you could actually learn the encounter? Oracles kill you too quickly now that you literally can't afford the time wasted having two people focusing on a single oracle. "killing any oracle you see" nine times out of ten results in two people shooting an oracle which spawned after the one that's going to cause a wipe. The two teleported shoot #'s 1 and 2. The two people who go in after the gate is opened get 3 and 4, with #3 taking priority. The fifth person in (the guy who stays out until someone comes back out) gets #5 and the relic holder gets #6. Just 'shooting the first oracle you see' is terrible advice, especially since #3 and #4 on one side line up. The first one you see is going to be #4, meanwhile, #3 is going to cause a wipe. Actually learn the encounter, this 'shoot any oracle' mentality is what's screwing up the run...

Whether the group is using a strategy of fixed numbered Oracle per person, or every man for himself, it's still better if one of the teleported people calls 1 and kills it, and the next guy kills 2 so they don't both shoot at the same one, and start the cycle of re-loads and extended time If a group cannot even co-operate to do that, they are probably going to fail the challenge

7 RepliesEdited by ValorNDarkness: 5/9/2017 7:07:42 PMTruthfully the simplest way for me with any type of group is this: Oracles #1 & #2 (staircase) are the two people Teleported that DO NOT grab relic. They then get cleansed and bolt outside to hold portal for the rest. Oracles #3 & 4 (middle of Mars/Venus) are killed by the first to people to come into the portal from the outside Oracles #5 & #6 (right next to the portal) are saved for Relic holder and final guy coming into the portal from the outside. After killing Oracle 5&6 head straight to center and get cleansed there by Relic holder during DPS This has by far been the simplest strategy, pretty easy to follow and helps avoid confusion on "which oracle" to kill inside.

People should just use Sleeper Simulant on the Oracles.

Its not that hard.[/quote] Sounds good. I've done that several times. But it can still go to crap, Let me demonstrate: "I got first" Blasting away with Fatebringer , someone stole my kill. "Okay, I'll get second" 4-5 shots, kill stolen while reloading "Third" Fatebringer blasted, but now 3 people are after my oracle. "Didn't see my name, FOURTH!" Another lost kill cuz reload, go to sniper "Fifth" Sniping but relic runner decimated it with super "Sixth" 3 snipes . . . one more and I got my oracle. BLAM "Wow, I One-shotted my oracle! What's taking so long in there?" Reload sniper, 2 shots in 7th oracle and the Darkness takes us. . . This has happened to me like half a dozen times since Vault challenges began.

1 ReplyYes let's all shoot the first oracle we see, waste plenty more ammo, and have a very good chance of failing due to not destroying them fast enough. It's plenty easier for people to focus on their own oracle. Less confusion and usually done faster

Usually not a big problem but I straight had to shoot all six oracles until I got a kill on one last week.. Shits annoying

Repeat after me: there is no "numbers" of oracles. Everyone shoots oracles until your name appears on screen. Then you leave. Also, stop calling out repeatedly for a cleanse. There are 3 cleanses. One on the steps for the initial 3. One by the portal right before the relic leaves. And in the middle. If you can't handle that, git gud.

I don't understand people either. Look at the left side of screen and see who kills one. If you don't see your name then get one Oracle dam how hard is it.

If you need to reload to kill an oracle you are doing it wrong.

Here's how I see it: At the very least, have a general idea of who is killing what Oracles. If someone kills your Oracle, don't freak out and cause a wipe. Just keep on going, it's not that big of an issue.
