Crucible is shotgun hell!!!!!
Ok, primary weapons have become pretty much useless. All people do now is stay in the air near Dorr ways and corners and wait to shotgun, or you get titans with juggernaut just pissing people off with the shield and shotgun combo. You can't counter shotguns reliably if ever in this game now. They have nerfed everything to the point where you are forced to run a shotgun just to stay alive. And supremely has pretty much been infested with shotguns since it released. Comon bungie. Give my primary some nuts!

Played supremacy for the first time and all I encountered were sliding Titans and warlocks with shotties. One in particular kept tbagging me after every time he killed me. Hey it's what shot gunners do. So I pulled out my sniper, camp at a location where I can quickly aim at two entrances. After killing him three times, he really wanted to go after me, so I headshot him 4 more times. Finally Got killed by a storm caller. He got the nerve to call me a camping bitch. Lol

14 RepliesIt's disgusting. My first Crucible match in months and the entire enemy team ran around with shotguns the whole match. This is what happens when Bungie releases balance patches at about the same frequency a new issue of Berserk is published. People who only care about winning and stats immediately move to whatever is OP and players have nothing to do but wait for Bungie to give enough of a shit to "fix" it, only to find out that instead they just made something else the obvious meta. The Crucible has been shit since day 1 because Bungie doesn't know jack about balance. This will never change.

4 RepliesThe community cried for a sniper nerf and now look what happens. Shotguns now dominate, so much so i have put down my sniper and taken up a shotgun. Especially in supremacy. There is little to no point in using anything but a shotgun due to the mechanics of the game mode.

I agree.(Please don't insult me, I'm terrible at crucible, was good before but my Destiny hiatus took a toll on my skills.) I'm stuck using a shotgun now. I prefer sniping. But once I'm drained of special I can't do anything, primaries aren't cutting it. If I attempt to use an auto rifle, I'll be gunned down by a hand cannon 9/10 times. Some weapons just have a severe disadvantage over others

Yep. If more people could actually be good with snipers instead of hardscoping lanes, the Nerf wouldn't have happened. The best way to use them is to quickly clear hallways and long rooms before pushing into them, or to cover a flanking/rushing teammate. I got so close (8 wins then either booted or killed by lagging unkillable bladedancers) to going flawless by doing that.

Shotguns are the best choice for special right now. That is correct. So why hinder yourself? Equip a shotgun. Boom. You're using a great weapon. Shotguns are also the counter to themselves so you've solved your problem. They are also the counter to shoulder charge, jug, blade dancer, and more. More bonuses.

3 RepliesPrimaries are fine. It's the effectiveness of shotguns that people rely too much on. Their range is absurd. I've had a Party Crasher in the past and currently run Conspiracy Theory, so I know how cheap they can be.

I NEVER run shotguns- look at my stats- if I see a shotgunner coming (because I use third eye)- I'll either stick them with a fusion grenade or hover over them with Angel of light and melt them with a fusion rifle, depending on my mood- I can feel the salt coming from them- shotguns have crap range esp compared to BF4 shotties and you have to be sneaky to use them- I truly respect the ones who try to make it work with shotties, but just a little 😆
