Hey Bungie, wanna make more MONEY? Do this and I will definatly buy silver

I'm talkin emotes. Press up on D-pad then use RS to choose one of eight emotes. I love emotes. They're hillarious. There are sooo many good ones out there...But I don't waste my money on them because the system is to clunky to use them. For me, it's not worth spending real money on. YES OR NO: Take the yes and no emotes for example, or, more accuratly, yes OR no emotes. You have to equip one OR the other. So let's say you have yes equipped. You're fooling around with your friends and they ask you a question. IF the anwser to that question is yes, you walk up to them, do the emote as you answer, and it's hilllarious. Now they ask you another question so you say "Wait, wait" go into your menu, swap emotes, and say "Say that again". He asks his question again, you answer "no" and do your emote.... not as funny. Then he says something stupid, you say "Wait, wait...*change emote*..ok, look at me....look at me...." then facepalm. Now how hillarious would it be if, in real time, you could have that same conversation with your friend and he would see your character jesturing in sync with your responces.... THAT would be worth spending real money! HELPFUL: Not only that, but being able to say yes AND no would be super useful if your friends headset was broke/dead batteries. If he can still hear the party he could respond. This has happened a couple of times to us and we had to use "no" emote for no and "wave" for yes. Pretty lame considerind there is a yes and no emote but you can't do both. Facepalm, shrug, agony, booyah, etc. would be a great way for a person without a mic to communicate with the party and participate in the conversation, but having to go into the menu for each expression means this is impractical. Playing with randoms would also be better if everyone could freely express themselves..."Oh, this guy's funny, get him in the party". Know what I mean? ONE EMOTION: See the problem is, you have to pick one emotion and hope and wait until something happens that fits that emotion. Well that's great if your buddy runs out in the open and dies and you happen to have face palm equipped. But what about this, your buddy runs out and dies, *facepalm* other buddy swoops in and gets him and they get away*booyah*, he runs back to you and does *jazz hands*, you *clap* then *bow* (not worthy), while the first guy *shrugs*, then you all dance for a sec before getting back to the fight. That would be hillarious, and that is exactly what me and my friends would do if we could. We're always doin emotes in the tower. Having 8 emotes at your fingertips would make the game more fun. But you can't do that. You gotta pick one emotion to equip at the start of the strike and maybe..maybe, that'll be useful. Swappin emotes would take too long and by that time the moment's gone and you're probally dead because you were in your menu too long. 99% of the time I have shrug equipped and I use it every time it's apropreate, it's funny,...but I'm limited to just that one emote at a momnents notice. There's lots of other emotes I would buy/like to use, but by the time I swap to the right one then do it, it's not funny. So shrug is basically my only emote when I'm not in the tower DANCE MOVES: Why would I buy a dance move when 1) I already have a dance move and 2) by equipping a 2nd dance I can't use an emote. If pressing up on D-pad then using RS to chose it too hard to program at least try to make it so when you equip a dance it replaces your stock dance so you still can do an emote. ADDED BENEFIT: Another benefit to this would be that you'd free up LEFT RIGHT and DOWN on the D-pad. You could assign holding left to popping a special ammo synth, right to heavy, and down to three of coins(let's face it, no one pops primary synths) I definatly would buy emotes if you did this because I think they are(but could be more) fun... but one at a time just isn't worth the dough. Til then I'll just have my 'shrug' equiped waiting for the oppertunity to use it at the right time in conversation. just a few thoughts Thank you

  • Yes since the 1st time I saw emotes I thought right away that we should be able to assign any emote to each of the 4 d-pads.Actually that's just common sense when you're adding emotes to your game...basically like PvZ Garden Warfare did.Your idea is great and I agree 100%...its really annoying having to go to the menu and switch your emote so you can finally express yourself...very lame. But devs are outta common sense nowadays and we can do nothing but deal with it.

  • That would be to convenient and smart for Bungie to implement. They're to busy studying psychology.

    • Would bump twice if I could, defiantly something that should be easy enough to implement, bungie doesn't like extra work tho

    • Reminds me of one game that did an amazing job with emotes, Lost Planet 2. Bungie could learn something from them.

    • Sounds too much like what warframe has to offer with emotes I think destiny won't do that simply because there game is already too similar to warframe which is a free game !!!

      • Same here OP. Why give us 50+ emotes, but only ONE freakin slot. An 'Emote Wheel' (ala The Division) would be nice. As well as the ability to use 'consumables' with the d-pad. For me, Bungie only gave us one slot, so i only bought one emote. Plus, with the Eververse Sparrows being RNG, i was only going to buy one, but unfortunately i got the Pink Dil do, so i bought another hoping for the Solar Sparrow, but got Arc instead (i like the Arc, but i wanted the Solar one). I believe small details like this have cost Bungie money (or at least stopped me from spending more)........unless there are enough idiots riding the RNGsus train using real money.
