Just did Atheon with all 335s...
They didn't know you have to keep the shield up in the middle
They couldn't kill the oracles fast enough
They couldn't clear the supplicants
They didn't know to stay together when shooting oracles
4 out of the 5 didn't know how to use the relic at all
Are there even any vanilla players left?
Edit: yes I did teach them what to do, that's how we beat it eventually. The point of this post was because I was shocked you could be max light level and not know how to do a lvl 30 raid
If anyone wants to do the old raids feel free to add me on Xbox1
EDIT: Since everyone wants to say there's no reason at all to do the old raids, tell me this then. Why do I see so many people complaining about "lack of content" when they are completely ignoring TWO raids?

3 RepliesWell to be fair, if you're using the Center method, you're doing it wrong. You guys should be able to use that relic to attack Atheon Mind you, I see your point. Frustrating, but you can blame Bungie for it. I think it was the 3rd time they nerfed Bladedancers without telling anyone. Everyone thinks Sunbreaker got it the worst, they're dead wrong. They -blam!- bladedancers in secret, yet lied about it, only to admit to it the next year. I don't support companies like that, thus, why this day 1 player left

Yea there's are some that do the old raids me an my friends do it for the radiance shards an stuff for motes of light. Easy way to get back to 500 or so motes of light.

Damn man. Wish you were on PS4. I freakin love the old raids. Any other vanilla destiny players on PS4 out there, send me a friend request, my psn is JBELUUU just make sure you send me a message as well so I know why I'm getting a friend add :D I'll do VoG or Crota whenever, just for fun. There's not enough fun in destiny anymore. Make Destiny Fun Again!

I run them the materials swap to motes and they were fun in General especially with new weapon types

I know plenty of Year 2 players that run VoG for the guns, especially the Vex and CE for the crux.

Ive been around since after dlc2 but before year two. I know how to use relics. Ive never beaten VoG or Kings Fall.

I was in that situation myself when I was getting the Exotic strangers rifle, it was really disappointing as they struggled from the Templar onwards and I ended up having to ask my pal who's been playing since the beta like myself to help run the guys though. Sure the loot is crap but it brings back memory's when you used to be a level 28 for weeks and grinding VoG just to get to the 30 compared to now where I'v only beaten the kings fall 3 times because there's no point anymore.

So it's possible to reach max light and not know a mechanic from the first raid? Who knew? If any newer players would like to do the first two raids for the first time I'm happy to help. XB1.

Update all raid armor to max light lvl. And if they don't won't to update the armor they should at least give you strange coins and motes of lights at completion of the raid. That there my friend (Bungie) is replay value! They need to learn a lesson from Zenimax (Elder scrolls online) What they did is basically update/scale all there dungeons/strikes and there trials/raids to max champion points witch is basically light lvl. So it gave back replay value to the players and they even went the extra mile and updated all gear/weapons/items to max lvl. They realised that if a player wanted to use year 1 gear, he/she should be able to.

11 RepliesStarted November 2014 still havn't done the raids, no ingame group finder for them and very limited gaming time so I wont waste it on 3rd party teamfinders, besides the raids have had the worst looking gear apart from VoG so not worth the time anyway
