If they work they work - if they don't they don't. I have every frigging exotic and had no reason to decode them. I never expected them to decode into the new exotics - if they do great. My best hope was that they would assist in raising my light level from the start. Worst case I am gonna rank up the cryptarch a shitload for packages. Edit #3: LOL. A lot of posts in this thread. To keep the negative posts down I will address some things I've seen. I have a job and a wife (and a child) and together we make well over $200K per year. These engrams were accumulated over many months as I have all the exotics. Why not save them and hope for the best. I'm not going to decrypt any of the engrams (ok - maybe one of each) until I have ran the story mission/strikes/etc as blues and greens will be higher than our current light level. I havent complained yet about lack of content. I will just start saving for the next expansion as I did this one. :)
