175 exotic engrams currently in my vault
99 armor....76 weapon. All three of my characters will be close to max light on first day...lol. How many have YOU saved?

Edit #2: I have been around since day one and know all about the past history of exotic engrams. If they work they work - if they don't they don't. I have every frigging exotic and had no reason to decode them. I never expected them to decode into the new exotics - if they do great. My best hope was that they would assist in raising my light level from the start. Worst case I am gonna rank up the cryptarch a shitload for packages.
Edit #3: LOL. A lot of posts in this thread. To keep the negative posts down I will address some things I've seen. I have a job and a wife (and a child) and together we make well over $200K per year. These engrams were accumulated over many months as I have all the exotics. Why not save them and hope for the best. I'm not going to decrypt any of the engrams (ok - maybe one of each) until I have ran the story mission/strikes/etc as blues and greens will be higher than our current light level. I havent complained yet about lack of content. I will just start saving for the next expansion as I did this one. :)

A guy I was playing with had an entire vault of weapons and armor exotic engrams and sent images while raiding. Wow. Just wow.

13 RepliesFunny thing is exotics will be light capped for awhile until hard mode is released. So basically until you are around 385 or so they won't mean shit.. Basically you just wasted abunch of 30C. Congratulations

How many have YOU saved?[/quote] But they will only become TTK exotics because all exotics in the other dlcs didn't ever encrypt at higher lights in between dlcs so its very unlikely for you to even get to a higher light. However its still a possiblity that it can happen so we will just wait and see.

Lol I hope for you, they don't keep current engrams at max light 335. It looks like it will go up since other are already getting 339 items. But it could be a glitch. Bungie said it is a mystery if our engrams will mean anything. I'm saving too. But not 100
