175 exotic engrams currently in my vault
99 armor....76 weapon. All three of my characters will be close to max light on first day...lol. How many have YOU saved?

Edit #2: I have been around since day one and know all about the past history of exotic engrams. If they work they work - if they don't they don't. I have every frigging exotic and had no reason to decode them. I never expected them to decode into the new exotics - if they do great. My best hope was that they would assist in raising my light level from the start. Worst case I am gonna rank up the cryptarch a shitload for packages.
Edit #3: LOL. A lot of posts in this thread. To keep the negative posts down I will address some things I've seen. I have a job and a wife (and a child) and together we make well over $200K per year. These engrams were accumulated over many months as I have all the exotics. Why not save them and hope for the best. I'm not going to decrypt any of the engrams (ok - maybe one of each) until I have ran the story mission/strikes/etc as blues and greens will be higher than our current light level. I havent complained yet about lack of content. I will just start saving for the next expansion as I did this one. :)

Thought i would make a final post to tell you naysayers that, yes, indeed , i got all 3 characters to 385 or higher. Took 2 days instead of 1....lol

2 RepliesYou know that you cant reach max light just from decrypting exotic engrams right? Back in the first months of TTK exotics would decrypt at 310 max light even if max guardian light light was 320. So, most probably you will need new raid gear to reach max level.

I have 36 legendary and exotic I think 40 will be good not expecting much but I'm doing it just because 1st time for everything and I'm a day 1 player

2 RepliesI dont have a problem with people saving engrams. I have a problem with people saving engrams and then later complaining that there's nothing left to do after 1 week because they already got all the new gear. I hope you are not the latter.

This isn't meant to be sarcastic, but I really do hope it's worth it. I don't have a ton of time to play, and I'm much to antsy to hold onto any scout engrams I get(currently have 1 exotic chest I got last weekend and a few legendaries I didn't decrypt because all loot was dropping super low).
