Trials needs to be SBMM. Plain and simple.

TL;DR OMG Bungo, we all deserve lighthouse trips. Fix your matchmaking and remove all the bully jerks.

My kds are all 1.0 + and ive been flawless arounf 7-8 times. Im not good at it. But these posts are so boring and im glad bungie ignores them. They said from the start that only the best players would go to the lighthouse. If you arent the best you aint going regularly , if at all. To be the best it means you have to beat the best. Just because you own the game does not mean you have the right to go flawless. Why do you want to go? To have the flawless emblem? Well it wont mean shit to have one if bungie make it easy. May as well go get a tess everis emblem and quit crying. I fail almost every week but i dont lose sleep because it is what it is. There will always be a better team and i love how the flawless and scarab emblem actually mean something. I know what some of you are thinking. 'But its not fair, its not a competition'. No, it is fair. People practiced to be the best. They put hard hours in to get their high ELO. If you 0.4kd players believe should face other 0.4kd players to go flawless then you are nothing but entitled. You want to go flawless because of its prestigious rewards that let everybody know you did it but you arent willing to take on all comers? Why should you go if you cant beat the best? How can all of you 0.4kd players seriously think you deserve to wear the same as those who are better than all of us. The moment you do that it saturate's trials' prestige and nobody will play as everyone will know its worthless. If you cant accept what in saying then you are an entitled toddler who id deluded. Even i accept what im saying and i struggle to go flawless weekly. I always get killed by carry teams but i understand its the way bungie intended!

The truth of the matter is most of the people against a separate flawless only playlist for better rewards are the same people that are farming elo on the first three wins of a card and ditching it to avoid the back end because they think that their elo rank is something that people actually care about. If all of this "best of the best" stuff was real talk no one would complain about a flawless only playlist for better harder to obtain gear because that really would show who the best teams and who really stands above the rest. The thing is if that happens, after your first run, there's no more free games against 1,000 elo players who are only trying to complete bounties. Or people who may be new to Trials and elimination. It would rip a lot of people out of fantasy land and then they'd be here complaining about how the flawless playlist is too hard and they can't get the gear from it. There are some amazing players out there in Trials but it's a small percentage. Most are middle of the pack at least, getting cards completed on the people who aren't playing like their family is being held hostage somewhere in a basement and won't be released unless they go flawless. It's always going to be that way as long as there is win based matchmaking in place. How many 1,800-2,000 elo teams do you think you go flawless if they had to play their equals for 9 games..... very few. The rest would be here complaining about how hard trials is and would probably be reverse boosting their accounts. As much as I despise SBMM in PvP shouldn't Trials be the one place it's implemented? No more freebies or easy games. These "good" players talk about "earning" wins and a 9-0 card. I hate to break it to you but a 2k elo team playing 1k - 1,3k teams isn't earning anything. It's getting a handout for half a card. This is where we let all the "good" Trials players sound off and provide enough salt for me to melt the ice on my driveway for the next 10 winters. Haha.

I have never been to the lighthouse even though my Warlock has a PvP KD of 1.5. I'm not really bothered except the Grimiore Score and just being able to say that I've been at least once. Personally I think if you have been to the lighthouse once, that weekend, you should be put into a separate matchmaking system where you are matchmade against opponents who have also been at least once. If you lighthouse go getters are good as you make yourselves out to be then you wouldn't have a problem going twice, or thrice, every weekend.

I think all that needs to be done is to have a system of the Lighthouse being reach once per week per character. Then more people would have a chance.

This is how I see most Trials players who get salty over to the idea of any changes or improvements of Trials.

They already made a game mode for your idea, it's called Elimination.

Definition of "competetive" : as good as or better than others of the same kind Which means, in a nutshell - high elo guys crushing noobs is not competitive, whereas noob vs noob is, by definition, competitive, as is elite vs elite. There is no difference between them (exept the skill difference obviously) in the sense of competitiveness Motor racing has different groups for different skill sets/cars. Most sports do as well. Why Destiny shouldnt do that, or in what way it would decrease the value of ToO, is beyond me. Currently, theres too much luck in the matchups. Ive seen sub standard players go flawless because the only teams they came in contact with were equally nooby Sometimes you load up trials and get swatted at an instant - thats not competition.
