I did not have a problem going 9-0 with the new tougher matchmaking system since I am a day 1 player and have loads and loads of friends to play with... but I hate seeing all these people especially the last weekend who have never gone flawless on all the team finding forums who have at least made it to 7-0 or 8-0 but still have never gone flawless even trying to help some of these people can be a challenelge when you run into the fat pimply bullies with 2k+ elo 2.0 plus kds stacked in a team of 3 you check their trials report they are on some 50 win streak just playing defend the lighthouse it is kind of messed up... you know who you are with your 3-5 letter original gamertags you think you are cooler than everyone but your really wasting your own precious time in life by playing 80 hours of trials every weekend with your sweaty butt buddies just for your own self esteem to stay mainted...Anyways bungie it is not fair for all the helpess people who don't have day 1 fireteams like all these bullies do. You should really make it fair for everyone as bungie is all about fairness.

2 RepliesEdited by Nike: 9/12/2016 5:52:18 PMRandomized matchmaking would even be worse for "casuals". The top tier players can beat most of the population so it doesn't matter how matchmaking is done, at the end of the day, they're top tier players. Trials is not supposed to be a fair playground in the first place, so I don't know where you got that fairness idea from... ~TheGreatNike

They're going to eventually make it to where is you go flawless with a character you don't get to play anymore with that character. Once you go flawless with all 3 that's it for the weekend for you. Haha I actually doubt that will happen but that would be hilarious if it did. Just prove that Bungie caters to the ones crying. Never gone flawless by the way.
-
I think you're advocating sbmm, not randomised. The matchmaking at the moment is essentially random, as you can be matched against any team no matter what their skill.
-
LEAVE TRIALS ALONE. It's supposed to be crazy hard. I've only been flawless once ever. I played a ton of trials too.
-
2 RepliesI blame sbmm in regular crucible. The lower tier players get a false sense of skill because they are doing well during the week against same tier players but then when trials is up and they draw the higher skill players they get destroyed because they do not see that skill during the week and are not prepared or even get a chance to improve. Surely that should be divided up into more than 1 sentence but its late forgive me. Just my thoughts.

1 ReplyI drew the #7 ranked player in the world the last 2 weekends in a row. He has a 3000 elo. Needless to say he put a damper on the runs both times. Bungie should do something a little different. Its way too sweaty now to be worth it. I cant tell you how many times our first game we would draw teams with the most ridiculous stats and lose. It takes entirely too long to run 6 cards where you get on decent runs only to face the bunny hopping team from hell with 2300 elos. Idk, it doesnt have to get easier but brackets sound much more appealing.

1 ReplyAgree should be looked at. Hopefully they will learn from past mistakes and get players playing trials again!
-
19 RepliesSeriously, don't judge me if I'm not the player you want me to be. Yeah, I'm going after my 50 streak because I'm a competitive player and I want to improve going against the best of the best. It's not my fault that the matchmaking is putting me against mr. No thumbs, so don't act like we are monsters trying to eat babies. Thank you

3 Repliesdo all the hot girls at the bar care about who has more elo and a higher kd??? last time I checked NO.

People play this game

Win based matchmaking is ok, but had you noticed that stange things happen when your teammates have a different number of wins than you?
-
2 RepliesNah , get there with a good team or don't . Trust me , there's no better feeling than beating that team with 3 2k Elo gods , and bagging on them. Every one loses sometimes and nothing is free, when people bought the game they knew that somethings were reserved for the better players. Perfect example is kf hard mode , many people still haven't beaten it , but no ones crying over it because they know they aren't coordinated enough to pull it off or don't care . All I'm saying is no shame in admitting that somethings aren't for everyone
-
1 ReplyJust remove that toxic game mode from Destiny and undo all of the nerfs that were a result of ToO nubs crying.

51 RepliesEdited by Carvoic: 9/11/2016 5:14:08 PMUnfortunately, I don't think you'll get very far with some of the players in this community. They for some odd reason think competitive means you face people out of your area of skill which is what the current trials promotes because of win-based matchmaking. A team of decent stats can face off against a team of crazy high stats simply because they have the same amount of wins. This is not a competitive game, this is called noob stomping. It isn't a competition when there is NO competition. The only thing I can think of as to why these people are against any kind of change are.... 1. They do not understand what a competition is. I,E players on the outside looking in or just players with a warped view on it. 2. They want to keep the lighthouse rewards to themselves just to hold it over others. 3. People who sell trials runs. So yes. I think there should be a change but I highly doubt it will change, because trials apparently has to be unfair because it's a "competition". Even though it really isn't for the most part.
-
3 RepliesDoubt it will happen. The simpler solution is to ban players for selling trials runs or anything else destiny related. People selling Union of light for $100+ and trials runs for $100+ lol. It diminishes what the community should actually be about. What's the point of having bungie store support charities and sell an item for $10 to be resold for $100 on eBay. There are so many shitty people in the community and it's incredibly sad.

1 ReplyFat pimply bullies? Sheittttttt had a 2.0 kd and a 2100 elo last year. I'm 165lbs of man steel and sex appeal baby. Just because you're good at a video game doesn't make you a fat loser 😂

1 ReplyThis might take a while but get a card on your loss be the host and take your friends to the lighthouse my buddy always does this 🙃
-
Damn. Felt so good reading this.
-
Is its random matchmaking what's the point of going flawless? Its not supposed to be easy.
-
1 ReplyBungie want you to give all your money to wish you luck so he can carry you there. 50 dollars a pop lol.

1 ReplySays the day one playrr

18 RepliesI find it funny when the "Elite" come to posts like this and shit on the OP. Saying things like "Git gud" or "Trials is for the best of the best" and these are usually the same guys who will not hesitate tell you that they go flawless between 5-20 times per week. But think about that for a second. If you can go flawless that many times, you don't think there's anything wrong with matchmaking? You still think trials is supposed to be a "challenge" despite the fact that matchmaking is practically handing you at least 5-7 easy wins? All I'm saying is, if you can go flawless 5-20 times per week then clearly you are not being challenged anymore. Whether you like it or not, you are taking advantage of Bungie's matchmaking. Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that in terms of how you play. But my point is this: Don't come in posts like these saying "Git gud" or "Trials is supposed to be challenging" when you're CLEARLY benefitting from getting matched with players who are many tiers below you. Admit it, if trials ditched the card-based matchmaking and went completely SBMM you'd throw a fit because that means you'd be playing 7-9 highly skilled teams in a row. It's just not fair when you, Dorito-Dust Dan, and Mountain Dew Miguel get matched up with Casual Carl, Just-For-The-Bounties Billy, and Lighthouse-Virgin Larry. TL;DR: If you can go flawless 5-20 times per week, stop saying it's a challenge and accusing those who aren't as good of "wanting an easy way out".

3 RepliesI think everything is fine as is. It should be a challenge to go to the lighthouse. Not some breeze. Some people are better than others simple.
-
27 RepliesThe community came up with a simple solution ages ago that frankly I don't know anyone can disagree with. Once you go flawless on a character you get put into a flawless playlist. Meaning ppl who haven't gone flawless will play others who haven't and all the sweaty trials pros can play other sweaty trials pros. They keep going on about how great they are well that's fine. Prove your worth against others who claim the same thing and let everyone else have fun trying to get to the lighthouse. It's a no brainer
