2 RepliesCame back to Destiny after a bit of a break playing The Division and can safely safe it's been one of my favorite games on Xbox One. I know there are times of grind but I generally enjoy all game modes and types it has to offer.
-
Nope. Ran a thread recently about enjoying the game. Just don't take it too seriously because I'm so bad at it lol. But yeah, I love playing it.

2 RepliesI do really like the game. I have a ton of hours played but the one thing that really pisses me off and it has since day one is the way Destiny handles its gear. There is absolutely no reason why 97% of gear in destiny is stuck in a extremely poor mathematical RNG equation it baffles me. There are SOOOO many ways that Bungie could make loot more accessibly difficult to attain. Primarily the strike specific loot. Having pretty much everything rely on RNG is just tiring and makes me want to quit the game entirely.I dont understand why you can make the strike specific gear have a goal to attain it or even make it random. Like complete the strike in under 6 minuites or To get the warlock gauntlets from the undying mind you have to kill-shot the boss in sun-singer with a grenade, or for the Hood of Malok you have to kill the boss while tethered generating X amount of orbs, or for the Dark Blade helm you have to inflict X amount of damage from weapons of light. So many things you can come up with to make it fun challenging but ATTAINABLE, instead of mindlessly running strikes hundreds of times for nothing but low level Blue's that just stock pile more armor shards than you know what to do with. It doesn't help that everyone looks pretty much the same, just a different color because the only way to look different is to run a strike 150,000 times with your fingers crossed hopping this is the time it will drop for you. Meanwhile there is always that 1 guy that is RNGesus that get it on their first run and most likely arent even the right class anyway just stupid. Mix that in with the Cryptarch A-hole that couldn't be more useless, I mean you're making progress with him compared to how much i just wanted to deck him in Y1 but come on... there is no reason at level 310+ he cant decode a single engram above 285....... seriously. I pretty much just dispose my engrams because they give nothing and when you level him up he just goives you motes, coins, and a blue engram or 2 im level 52 on the cryptarch and rarely do i ever get a legendary from his level ups. You're getting close but he is still a waste. Destiny is a game with so much thought put into some of the wrong places that it boggles my mind sometimes. I love playing it and I have played the CRAP out if it. But for every 1 thing destiny does awesome there are 2 things that make you extremely frustrated.

I love the game but the state of the crucible is really taking its toll. The lag is making some games unplayable, and every game is a sweat fest just to keep to 1.0 KD. Its stopped being fun.
-
I love the game, but in all fairness they've ruined the crucible. Between all the weapon "balances" and the matchmaking setting updates. And because the people that cry about weapons in PvP, PvE frequently suffers. I love the game, but hate how they go about updates. Sometimes, I wish the crucible was its own game...

1 ReplyYear one player and I still love the game but i hate how stupid this community is over nerfs and buffs. I hate how preserving KD and high ELO seems to hold such high importance in this game. Even some of the most respectful players i used to play with have turned that way, sad really.
-
I still love the game but I hate the developers.
-
I do.. but I can't afford the Ps4 to play RoI ;-;
-
Destiny is love.......Destiny is life.
-
You won't love it after this
-
Its the loot that keeps me going.
-
One of the Top 5 games I've ever played!
-
I like destiny, but I do not love it. It is, at times, a boringly average game.
-
Love destiny! Can't wait for Rise of iron. It'll be a breath of fresh air for the destiny community. This might be the expansion we were looking for all along.
-
i would love it more if the blighted chalice would drop my darn Hood of Malik and stop being so fricken rude.........

In concept, I love this game. In execution...it still needs a LOT of work. Crucible is an absolute travesty. Lag beyond all human comprehension, absolutely nothing fixes it, and it leads to shenanigans that cannot be explained in any logical fashion. Self-rezzing Titans. Havoc-smashing Hunters. Warlocks throwing three different elements of grenades, never mind a freaking sidearm being wielded by a player 30 light levels lower in Iron Banner being more powerful than the Thunderlord, just to name a few. In PvE we have enemies that will not die, grenades that bounce into orbit from coming into contact with dust motes, and Guardians that spontaneously combust because they stepped off a Fallen carton, and anyone else remember "Randal the Vandal?" This guy would mess up your day in a hurry. And let's not even get into the multitude of things we could say about the absolute insult that is the loot system or the way Bungie consistently takes a dump on every last one of our accomplishments AND our favorite gear (I don't care if it is completely obsolete, I'm still hanging on to my Iron Regalia vestments, Facade of the Hezen Lords, and other Year One armor that looks a million times better than anything put out in the last 3 expansions). Destiny....it's a game that could be great. I just don't know if that's possible this time around. Maybe Destiny 2.

9 RepliesI don't love it like I used to. It's still fun to play with friends, but I would never pick it up and go do stuff by myself while I waited for some of my friends to get on, or go out of my way to try to help randoms anymore (because I'm simply not on when I'm by myself). TTK made a lot of changes to the game. It's debatable whether ALL of these changes were good, but what TTK did do is take away a lot of things that kept the game fun and made it MUCH more replayable. Removing elemental primaries DID in fact, weaken our guardians and it made our efforts in endgame PVE content almost meaningless (who runs the raid JUST for infusion fuel? Not me.) The nightfall's feel way more grindy than fun now that BOTH elemental primaries have been removed and there are no more elite weapons which make the nightfall easier once you have the weapon - at least none on the level of G-horn pre-nerf. No godly weapons to chase, content just feels like an endless repetitive grind with NOTHING that actually reduces the grind once you have accomplished anything in PVE. I.E., no sensation of actual progression. Is the game still fun? Sure! You can have a blast with 2 or 5 of your best online friends with this game. But is it the kind of game it was in Y1 when we played the HOLY BAGEESUS out of this game even when the content was beyond stale? Nope. Some will say it is just the "newness" of the game that is gone, and that we have played the game so much that the shine has worn off, but they couldn't be further from the truth. My main problem with this game in Y2 is not that we have played the game way too much for it to be fun still - its the way the game has been managed since TTK. Whether intentional or not, they have clearly shifted gears to focus this game on PVP rather than PVE and their balancing patches reflect that. The measure of PVE is not whether its fun and rewarding, but simply whether or not you can COMPLETE the PVE activities. And this has lead us to whittle down balancing for the sake of PVP. Across the board weakening of our weapons, abilities, supers, etc. There's no elite weapons in the game anymore, mainly due to the fear that it might break PVP, with some minor concerns that someone may get left out of an LFG group (and not having those elite weapons has not done a thing to curb LFG elitism btw!). If its not the weapon balance, its the fact that, as a Y1 player, we were forced to leave behind our favorite weapons - whereas, ALL of Y2 players gear will carry forward into Y3 and maybe beyond. This is something that originally drove Y1 players away when TTK launched, and those who remain won't ever forget it - especially in light of the fact Bungie announced Y2 gear will carry forward. Overall, this game is still fun, but suffers from poor management and lack of unity of vision amongst the Dev's IMO. I don't love it like I did the first time I popped it into my 360 (im on XBONE now) or the first time I stepped foot into a raid. But I'm here on these forums hoping that Bungie will win it back.

Having played Destiny since Year 1, I enjoyed it alot in the first year but come near end of year 2, my enjoyment dipped to an all-time low and as a result, I only played at most 2 times a week except during iron banner. But now in recently buying an Xbox One S and being all aboard on the Rise Of Iron hype train, now all of a sudden my sense of enjoyment is slowly climbing up again. It won't be as high as it was in year 1, but it will be somewhat high enough for me to enjoy until Destiny 2 comes out.

Still the only disc allowed in my xbox1.
