We all paid for the same game and we all got it.
Sony paid for exclusive content and gave it to their customers.
Would you pay for a car only to have the dealership tell you where to drive it? Sony paid for it. We are lucky that we see it at all.
This was a business deal that the adults here should understand. I get it, that the children don't understand it. They are still learning how business works.
I have even seen at least one thread on here that had a link to the BBB for Activision to file complaints. REALLY? "Your business deal didn't benefit me!" Boo hoo. Get over yourself.

If I understand the chain of events correctly didn't Sony fork out money so destiny wasn't Xbox exclusive? Not they just paid more. I could be wrong.

3 RepliesIt's this simple. Sony puts up money and requests extra content for its users. Bungie takes that money and allocates personnel, time and money to produce content. Naturally, content produced with that capital is expected to go to Sony. Bungie can try to put a condition in the clause that stipulates a release to Xbox following 1 year of exclusivity for PlayStation. However, if PlayStation does not agree to it, they can decide not to participate in funding extra content and there will be no extra content at all. Tldr? Sony funds produce of extra content. Xbox is not entitled to content that Sony pays for. Bungie is not to blame.

2 RepliesThis is hurting everyone. Xur can't sell the Zen or Jade, ToO can't have sector 618 as the map, and the Restorative mind can't be the nightfall. And not many people are angry that PS exclusives exist, it's that we don't know when we will get them. It sucks for everyone

1 ReplyEdited by Doc Doge: 8/21/2016 8:32:35 PMMicrosoft and Sony took their kids to Bungie Ice Cream Shop. Microsoft bought their kids ice cream. Sony bought their kids ice cream with sand-flavored sprinkles.

Edited by xGRAWREAPERx: 8/23/2016 7:31:34 AMTarget and Walmart both sells Oreos for $5 So let's say Target decides to run a promotion. Buy a bag of Oreos and get a jug of milk for free care of Target. Should people who decide to go to Walmart also get the milk? They paid the same price. Their ignorance is not going to Target. Ignorance is that people keep on saying they paid for content. They didn't.

And now Sony is making that payment back by now charging more for ps live. Sony knows its easy money for them as they know the majority of gamers play online or need to be online at some point. SO I SAY TO SONY, YOURE NOTHING BUT A BIG PILE OF 💩💩💩💩.

31 RepliesEdited by Thane: 8/21/2016 2:31:07 PMNot this again ...... Terrible reasoning, childish attitude and its helping no one. "Its business" ..... Wtf is that supposed to mean if a consumer feels cheated/mistreated ?? A guaranteed deal and a dying following. How difficult is it to understand ?? Bungie can make the most profitable move in the history of the company, still doesn't make it good for the player-base/their image especially at this point. This shit didn't start happening yesterday and has proven to divide/affect player-bases negatively. Their profit is their own concern. And keeping whats left of the community happy should be a priority for obvious reasons. Personally,, i have zero problems with exclusive weapons, maps/strikes on the other hand .....

5 RepliesThe thought that Sony paid for exclusive content is a misconception. If that was the case, it would never come to Xbox. The fact that it does eventually come to Xbox means it was always meant for both consoles. Since the developers can't release content that isn't finished, then the idea that Sony gets it first is also a misconception. It works the same way as a 30 day wait on content. All that DLC is done. Its finished. Whether its a 30 day wait, a year wait, a 2 year wait? It doesn't matter. Nobody is paying to get it early. That content is done. Sony and Microsoft are paying to keep it away from each other. As gamers, as adults, that should bother everyone whether it works in your favor or not. The fact that a company that makes, develops, and publishes games would purposely keep gamers from content, should be a concern for everyone. No matter what console you prefer.

5 RepliesNo one is blaming Bungie, they are just thoroughly using their right to state that console exclusives are bullshit and Activision is causing some trouble by being shady.

4 RepliesFELLOW XBOX ONE PLAYERS!!! Can we all just get together for a moment and marvel at the fact that op is a sony pony AND managed to type paid instead of "payed"? Come on guys give it up for op! You don't normally see their kind getting this right!

Edited by xJPerk: 8/22/2016 1:58:11 PMIf they delay the release of the exclusives to Xbox it hurts ps4 players aswell (I play on both consoles) The exclusive strikes will not be the nightfall. The exclusive pvp maps will not be the trials map. Xur will not sell the exclusive exotics lowering ps4 players chances of ever getting to even use them unless they're lucky. The weekly activities are suffering due to this exclusivity deal. The more content on both sides the better.

4 RepliesWow, these "adults" sure don't know shit about history. Facts are facts, Halo was Bungies biggest thing they've EVER made. But it was Xbox's cash cow too. Sony dident get any of the cake. Still with me "adults"? Totally not three kids in a trench coat I hope... When Destiny got released, it should have been no surprise at all that PS3 and PS4 would get more content and attention than Xbox....why? Build. The. Fan base. For those like me that were around in the beginning, remember when they used to do the special crucible things where developers or moderators would be playing and if you beat them you got a emblem? Only on PlayStation. Why? Build. The. Fan base. Exclusive strikes, exotics, different Iron Banner gear? Build. The. Fan base. Bungie was established as "those halo guys" for Xbox users. If they only released Destiny for PlayStation, the sales most likely wouldent have been as good as they were/are....why? Exclusives. Not hard friends....children could figure it out. "Business is business". Regardless of Sony paying more or less, they were gonna get more right out of the gate to build the fan base. Class dismissed.

Edited by Church100: 8/22/2016 12:12:05 PMThis whole view that 'sony paid for the exclusives' is just widely accepted speculation (as no-one who has seen the terms of the contract has actually made the terms public). Sony paid for an exclusivity deal, agreed. But they are 'timed exclusives', so what sony actually paid for, (i would speculate) is for that content to be exclusive to sony for a limited time. The extension of this limited time without any kind of heads-up from bungie to the xbox players is what has caused many of the posts, rather than the time extension itself. If sony had actually paid for the exclusives then i doubt xbox would ever see them.

We are lucky that we see it at all.
And this, everyone, is why the video game industry has been churning out shitty cashgrabs for the past 6 or so years. Fanboy apologists.
Obligatory reminder that nobody held a gun to Bungie and forced them to sign a deal with Activision. They gladly signed the contracts and took the money. Only a fool would put on blinders and look past their part in this, or anything else within the game.
3 RepliesWhat the adults should also understand is that it's a stupid deal. I'm not crying about the weapons, can't miss what you never had, but the whole concept of console exclusives is just -blam!-ing stupid. It's the worst idea in gaming. Nobody should be blocked from games or content because of what console they choose

4 RepliesActually it is Bungies fault They chose to go with activision They chose to side with Sony

3 RepliesGenerally, exclusive stuff like this was fine in the past. But it was done with games that had enough content to satisfy those without access to the exclusive stuff. Year 1 suffered from a lack of things to do. We're at a point in year 2 where no ones really miss in the the armor and weapons, but the strike anmap should definitely not stay exclusive for another year.
-
I've been reading these posts for awhile now and I see one common theme among all of the xbox players saying that they don't care about (whilst replying to the post not complaining to the author) the exclusives yet still complaining about it. Sony paid for it. It is basically dlc that Sony paid for to be on their console. Microsoft or xbox players didn't. Yes I do agree it it pretty dumb to keep a couple guns exclusive for more than a couple of months but it just gets repetitive with all the exclusives
-
This again? Really I get Xbox got stitched up when it comes to exclusives in destiny but we really don't need to keep going on about it. Every one will get access to it eventually even ps players who've had a really difficult time getting the exclusives I remember having difficulty getting Monte Carlo in year 1 when it dropped in y2 I was content with that.
-
can we pay not to have any posts about this anymore ? it's lagit every dlc or update this argument starts. playstation people, just ignore it. xbox people, just get over it. no one's gonna change anything. you'll never get enough likes on your petitions xbox people. and you'll never convince xbox kids of anything ... just move on.

I swear officer it's not my fault he said if I gave him the drugs he'd pay me!

1 ReplyI just want the strike. I couldn't care less about the guns or pvp map. I want those warlock arms.

I think it's just a hard pill to swallow I'm used to paid exclusives from my cod days. But it was only like a month or two wait.

11 RepliesEdited by Hamlet76: 8/21/2016 12:23:10 AMThe fact that we're still using separate systems is what's baffling to me. Having separate systems hurts gamers more than it helps them. If there was one system we could play all games irrespective of the system you own.
