Around the 8 minute mark.
Maybe you recognize me from the thread I made a couple days ago highlighting this issue. Interestingly, with almost 3000 replies neither DeeJ or Cozmo commented on it, despite my numerous attempts to contact them. My PMs were also ignored.
I was also banned from replying to my own post, so there's that, as well as another user who said nothing wrong either but was simply helping me to get this issue recognized.
DeeJ confirmed this to be true. In one quick sentence he basically says look at the fine print. Meaning, on some level, it's our job to find this crap out instead of them doing it themselves.
This effectively hurts all who play destiny. Xbox owners like me, of course, get the blunt of this as we are restricted from content for yet another year.
PlayStation owners also are hurt from this, believe it or not. For those who still have not gotten the exclusive guns and were eagerly waiting for Xûr to sell them, you're out of luck. Xûr will now not be able to sell them for another year.
Perhaps you enjoyed Echo Chamber. Too bad, now it can't be the Nightfall for another year.
Or, maybe you actually do enjoy Sector 618. Sucks for you, it now cannot be a Trials of Osiris map for another year.
I wish I could say I'm joking, but as ridiculous as this sounded it's all true.
Well done, Activision/Sony. Fantastic work on dividing the playerbase of this game even more. Actually, it's pretty funny, PS4 players are starting to support Xbox more and more in this.
Edit 1: No mention of this in the Weekly Update.
I appreciate all the positivity I've seen in this thread. Keep it up, boys and girls. Let's work together to get more people aware of this.
Edit 2: User Twigg814 has linked us to Activision's BBB (Better Business Bureau) page. If you call the number, they will file your complaint and from what I'm aware of they will decide if they agree with us or Activision. I can't say I'm too familiar with this type of stuff, so don't take my word on this.
I originally put the link in the OP, but on second thoughts have removed it. I don't know how well mods or ninjas would take to having something involving legal action in the OP.
Edit 3: It looks like this post is moving down the forums. That's not unusual as I'm suspecting it's pushing this down so other posts can get visibility.
It's unfortunate, but this post did its job of getting people to know about this. Thanks for all the support, everyone! Let's keep at it.
Additionally, some have asked if they can copy this and repost it so it's always on the forum until Bungie comments. I give you permission to do so.
UPDATE: User Alovon will be reposting this. Bump and upvote his post as well!

40 RepliesBump. I want an answer. One of the worst things they can do to us, is keep their silence!

4 RepliesYou know what, all you xbox fanatics want to get REAL responses and REAL results? 1. Spam Microsoft with e-mail the way you spam these forums. 2. Don't cancel your ROI preorder. 3. Cancel your Xbox live subscription. When all of you cancel your xbox live subscriptions, microsoft just might step up to the plate. You bought the loser of this gen of console war, you are its fatality. This war is not Bungie's war, they just chose the winning side because the winning side could pay them more. Blame your hero Microsoft, it is they who sacrificed your experience and offered you up as acceptable collateral damage.

5 RepliesIt sucks, yeah I agree, but what can they do now? Buy sony out of the contract? Bungie won't do that and micro daaaaaaaaam well won't do that. Other wise they would have got the contract in the first place when bungie brought it to them first. If called the shots I'd say give sony back their money, and get rid of exclusives,.... This is the real world tho.

35 RepliesHi ya'll I'm here to inform you that Sony has been locked out of exclusive content now for almost 16 years .. Yup you heard me right .. Sony PS owners have been totally and indefinitely cut completely out of the greatest gaming franchise of all time !! They never have and will never be able to play ...
HALO
LOLS!! when I look at the content that I will eventually get soon anyways it really doesn't compare with how much it sucks to be a PS player who's never ever going to even experience an entire franchise worth of gaming ... So if you are an Xbox player ... Just pop in halo and laugh cuz it's still a rocking game that was brought to us by the creators of destiny ...

Fully agree with the OP. Well said and well put. I would say though that Bungie think massively about all in the destiny community; I am convinced that they are having difficulty in dealing with this dilemma, and would not want to estrange their Xbox users. Saying that, keeping silent on the issue is not the way to go. Bungie should be frank on the reasons why this situation has occurred. If Sony paid more for the development of the game, then so be it - I'm still glad i get to play this great game - but Bungie should give the Xbox community a wee bit of respect by being upfront about it. Don't worry Deej and the gang, we can take it.

They said they will be available by at least fall 2016. Atleast.

5 RepliesIts not the point of how good something is. Thats not what us Xboxers are "whinging" about. Its the fact we paid the same as ps4 users but are having to wait 2 years for that content. We fully understand a years wait. But 2 years takes the -blam!-ing piss. We will get this content just as we are playing Destiny 2. Which will then be null... But it is the silence which is -blam!-ing people off. I enjoy Destiny. And I shall be buying RoI and Destiny 2. But last night for the first time in a long time I played other games. And it made me realise there is more to gaming than Destiny.

Bump. Let's not let this thread die.

It's getting harder and harder for me to find reasons to keep playing Destiny. It's like being a battered wife or something. I keep thinking, if I just love bungie more, they'll stop hitting me and tell me how pretty I am ... but they just take all my money and go out and get drunk with their friends and then come home and slap me around for dinner being cold. I seriously enjoy playing Dragon Age online more than I do Destiny at this point. Which is really kind of sad.

Edited by Aurik Kal Durin: 8/22/2016 9:35:36 PMDoes all of the content have to remain exclusive? Maybe let the PS4 players keep the Strike and the Crucible map, but let everyone have the weapons and the armor? That way they can add Jade Rabbit and Zen Meteor to Xur's inventory, and have someone in the Tower sell the 6 exclusive armor sets; maybe the Speaker should sell the armor? Give us a reason to pay him a visit... It would be good for PS4 players as well. The only way they get those items anyway is by grinding Three of Coins and Sublime Engrams, and from what I've seen on YouTube, Sublime Engrams do not drop frequently, and of course there's no guarantee you'll ever get the armor you're looking for...
-
I have an X1 and ps4 and have Destiny in both platforms. No bid deal with ps4 exclusive, not really missing out on weapons. Armour gear is a different story though. I play mostly on X1 cause most of my Destiny friends play on x1.

3 RepliesWhy is this post sliding down the forums? It has the most comments yet it's getting buried.

Sony paid to have the exclusive content, beat Microsoft to it. Simple buisness deal.
