So Me and My friend came up on this idea about having "flashbacks" or cut scenes from Dead ghosts
That would be so awesome if we could see these grimoire cards on a cutscene. Once u have picked up the ghost u can see these flashbacks in Tower.
Thoughts?????
Edit1: thank you all about your comments and ideas, we're also trending!!

1 ReplyI think it would be an awesome idea if when we revive a ghost we see its final moments of it and it's guardian right before they deaths
-
Maybe on the Xbox Scorpio.... But the neo won't be able to handle the extra processing .... Nailed it..

This isn't Naruto but nice idea
-
That would be amazing.

Amazing this would be incredible

Yes yes yes!!!

3 RepliesI have flashbacks every time I go into the crucible
-
Why are there no flashbacks ;)

After reading through nearly every grimoire card I have, it would be pretty awesome to see them as a cutscene, to see how the event it's describing actually played out, like the crimson days cards. (It talks about the first two guardians for those of you who haven't gotten around to reading it)

Bungie do cut scenes? No way they are expensive...
-
4 RepliesThis is trending... in a community that wanted an option to skip the cutscenes in the vanilla game. So what I'm getting here is, "Give us more cutscenes to skip, so we can get on with shooting the crap out of alien monsters." Yes?

I agree with this. Games like Dead Space and Bioshock had ways of at least explaining the story as well as the back story to the player. Dead Space had text as well as video logs that explained what happened in the world to the player if they explored it. Destiny rewards the player with more of the story they play the game and explore the environment. Why not have the dead ghosts have the option of playing a video file if the player wants to? Or a text log that has the grimoire card in-game?

49 RepliesYes... And no.... There are two entirely different thoughts on this. 1). Cutscenes for grimoire cards would bring the story alive. It would make the lore easier to follow and more accessible to the average player. 2). Cutscenes would remove the mystery from the game. Vague events would suddenly be clearly defined. The appeal of this game for some is the unknown. Digging around through grimoire cards and forming conclusions based upon what little we actually know about the game. Both arguments are valid, but I'd give it to the mystery group. If reading through the grimoire is too much effort, do you actually care about the story? At it's core, this is a multiplayer game. Many people play it for the social experience. The players who care about the storyline study the grimoire. The way things are now, both groups of players get what they want.

Would like that alot. Narration with a comic styled cutscene of what happened.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 8/11/2016 3:27:37 AMI would love to see something like that in game. Maybe like comic book style story-tellings of the Grimoire cards. Or maybe they can get Telltale to do a Destiny decision based game. :D

Because that'd require effort and Bungie hasn't seemed to put much of that in since Halo 2
-
This was cut from vanilla destiny, but I'm sure they will sell it to us at a later date.
-
3 RepliesThat's way too much work for these lazy -blam!-s to do. This game is a mess.
-
2 RepliesFor $49.99 bungie will make it happen
-
Lol that would require work. Actibungie's MO is to do as little work as possible. They don't have assets or lines to recycle to make the scenes with
-
4 RepliesCause they, as in bungivision, got lazy and didnt feel adding immersion into destiny. Gathering resources and just "finding" the ghosts isnt immersion, thats a chore people, and a piss poor argument. I feel like if we got flashes of flash backs with story hints would of made the dead ghosts much more valuable and would be a good source of immersion.

Because that would take effort

I think all grimmer cards should have a cutscene and dead ghost as well
