Why are there no flashbacks when you pick up a dead ghost
So Me and My friend came up on this idea about having "flashbacks" or cut scenes from Dead ghosts
That would be so awesome if we could see these grimoire cards on a cutscene. Once u have picked up the ghost u can see these flashbacks in Tower.
Thoughts?????

Flashbacks normally come from harsh memories in our long term memory if our guardian was incinerated we wouldn't remember anything

1 ReplyI would say a select few, like the one found on the moon where the dead guardian is. Your ghost says, "Where's his ghost?" That one.

It'd be cool, but unless it's just audio it sounds like it would get you killed. Since Destiny is live it couldn't be paused for a cutscene when In an area, so you'd be pretty vulnerable. Cool idea though!

Yes! I think an epic 5 second trailer for each card would be an amazing way to get the community that doesn't read grimoire to do so. At the end of the short cutscene, the Epic music stops and "See More At Bungie.net" flashes on the screen

What would be better is if you could play as the dead Ghost/the Ghost's Guardian, as if you're reliving a memory kept within the Ghost.

I had a similar idea that when you picked up a dead a ghosts you could go to a specific NPC, like the Speaker, Eris, Cayde-6, etc. and they would tell a "story" in the form of a cutscene.

Because last gen. Well, at least that's a likely scenario or they just haven't thought about it or don't want to do it.

3 RepliesThat would be cool. The lore of Destiny is wonderful, but it's absence in the actual game creates a disconnect for me. Even simple audio playback would suffice IMO. I'm not lazy, I've read the grimoire. I just don't want to experience the majority of this story on cards on the Internet.

[spoiler]destinys story could've been so engaging and entertaining, the lack of story and plot development has always been a pet peeve of mine grimore cards that aren't even accessible in the game is such a joke to me lol[/spoiler]
