I was thinking that there should be currency that is able to be given to other Gaurdians.
Someone help you with a raid? Throw them a few marks.
Someone jump in last minute and help you with CoE? Throw them a few marks.
You get the idea.
I was thinking that you would be able to earn the 'camaraderie marks' through patrol, strikes, and bounties. You can then give them to fellow guardians for doing good deeds... or just give them to members of your fireteam/friends.
How do you spend these marks?
Well, I thought it would be awesome if there was a vendor where you could use the marks to purchase a set of armor, shaders, and emblems. You can only spend the marks that are given to you by other players. The marks you earn through activities are only for giving away and for showing gratitude.
It would be awesome to run around the Destiny world in a badass set of armor that is only gained through camaraderie and contributing to the community in a positive way.
What do you guys think?
Edit: Thanks for commenting everybody. It really shows the more positive side of our community.

Or give others Glimmer since we all either always need it or never need it. Many times I'm going to do something and somebody always says. Man I need to go farm for some glimmer real quick. Said person is going to help me with something so why can't I just donate to their cause since they are donating to mine?

Shameless bump.

33 RepliesEdited by Guardian5244: 8/9/2016 4:21:05 AMEvery time you get top of leader board of the whole lobby in PvP, you get 1 coin. Get 10 of these coins and you can buy 17 sparks. Once you do this three times you have a 0.04% chance to gain a fusion mark, which in turn will grant you the choice of three exotic engrams. One of the exotics is real, the other two are fake. If you pick the right one, you must defeat Randal the Vandal with nothing but a water squirter. If you happen to defeat (not kill, he's immortal) Randal, he will drop a Key of Power. Shove the Key of Power in Mara Sov's mouth and twist. Oh yeah. She will spend the night with you but you are on a mission. While she is too tired from pleasuring, sneak in her computer and get hardrive file [http://nrf.fsn.rfls] After you get the file, jam it into Cayde-6's battery compartment, and he will tell you the truest thing anyone has ever told you. 3 RepliesGood idea but people can exploit that by giving other players tons of marks
-
1 ReplyThis would just get abused. People would just prostitute themselves for marks. I'll help you get black spindle for 100 marks. I'll carry you through nightfall for 150 etc
-
Bump for potential.
-
FFXIV does this with commendations. I like the idea.
-
This is a pretty awesome idea! I think this would make Destiny the teamwork focused game it is supposed to be.
-
Cool idea! May need some tweaking to discourage farming or abusing it somehow... But I really like the idea!!!
-
Great idea

'Bump... Bump... Bump. That's the sound of my 15s hittin in the trunk... Bump... Bump... Bump. Kottonmouth Kings and we don't give a f&%k!!!'

1 ReplyI'd prefer something like a 'karma': you can give it : - at reward screen/previous game summary when relevant - by screening the player if not in your team (thinking patrol) But only once to the same player. Then on reset everybody gets a 'karma package'. The more karma, the better the rewards (from 1 weapon part to a piece of gear)
-
2 RepliesI could see this being horribly abused.
-
i thought reporting people using the helpful or friendly option was bungies way of doing that? whoever you report was meant to get some package at postmaster or even chance of better drops, not sure about drops but think i read it.

2 RepliesWhile it's a nice idea, it's still very exploitable. I like the way you think OP.

7 Replieswhile i like a positive idea i think jumping into a nightfall or POE last minute is its own reward as you get to skip the first 2/3's of it. (even if you did join just to help out you still get rewards of some kind and to me thats good enough heck even getting nothing helping other players is its own reward)

4 Replies*I am selling 10 Comradery Marks for $20, PM me for eBay name*

Bump for good intentions.

This sounds like a really fun idea. Good thinking!

Edited by Aulakauss: 8/9/2016 9:54:46 PMI really love this idea! A sort of 'Kudos' system that lets you properly thank someone for being helpful. I can think of a few people who've stuck with me in a 6v2 Iron Banner game or carried a useless team (I include myself in this instance) to victory, or even enemy players that were really fun to fight. It'd be nice to be able to toss a player like that something meaningful as a 'Thank you for making my game experience better' gift.
-
There would need to be a limit, because the system could be easily cheated. I would just give all my marks to a friend and have give me all of his. But if there were a limit, like 10 or so marks, it would be reasonable.

I like this.
