Try one hard wired console and one console on wifi. That seems to work for now for me and my GF on PS4. No promises just what I was able to do to get us running together.

We constantly have our consoles hard wired. We do hard resets, reset router, turn off Wi-Fi etc..Nothing. It used to work but the last few days we couldn't.

I meant have one console hard wired and one console using wireless. That's how I got ours to work together finally. We were both hard wired now they're mixed.

That worked for us, I was so excited. BUT it only worked once, I couldn't get it to repeat. So back to square one .... and waiting for an update from Bungie ........

I'm sorry to hear that. It's worked for us so far and we can connect just fine. It may be router specific as well, it's such a strange error and problem for them to have all the sudden. I hope it gets sorted soon.

It didn't work. I've also reset router, hard reset consoles, one console hard wired, the other Wi-Fi.

I've done all that as well and still get "unable to join target player..." Over and over and over again. Yet I can happily join any other fireteam so long as it isn't on the same network in our house!

Well crap I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for y'all. Hopefully they'll work it out soon. I know it sucks not being able to play together.
