You're discounting the fact that she was still discontinued from the game (hopefully, it's not permanent; I doubt it is). This isn't a discussion about who she is; it's a conversation about why she isn't being presented in the game anymore. I would hate for gaming to involve hanging in-game stories in lieu of offline appendages.
