Sunsinger please buff
Hey guys, I main a sunsinger since launch and what I really Enjoyed about it was there ability to actually hold their own in pvp. The recent nerf completely changed this. For instance I used to run Viking funeral and solar grenades with sun breakers. They completely took out Viking funeral leaving just about everyone to go with the increased radiance duration. Another reason that sunsingers should get buffed is there melee. I can melee someone and it takes ages for my shield to come up. Lastly is grenades most of the sunsingers used to use fire bolts with them being nerfed everyone is running double fusion grenades, and really it's not fun to go up against. All I'm trying to say is give sunsingers a buff so we don't always have to run this class the same exact way, let there be variety.

Meh. I guess you can buff the Firebolt nade but Idk buffing the DoT does not seem the good beacuse everyone complains.

Radiance armor should be more like a tank. But I activate super and get body-shot-killed by a shotgun??? Why they do this? I really like tanking through other players while I melee them...can't do much of that nowadays =(

1 ReplyYou want to buff Sunsingers? Don't use them. I used to main one and after the nerf I tested it in PvP for 3 matches and I've decided to not play with it. I'm a day 1 player who main a Sunsinger its a shadow of its former self after 2 back to back nerfs. Bungie works with numbers my advise don't use it for PvP and with warlocks K/D ((being the lowest)) they may buff it.

Sun singers definitely need a buff. So do blade dancers not a buff to the arc blade damage but they need a buff to their armor while in the super. Same with sun singers. And fire bolts need a buff to. Their useless currently.

Radiance already makes your melee stronger intrinsically while active. Can't see a reason why the Super can't give a little boost to grenade damage as well. [i]Sunburst[/i] should grant Solar Grenade an increase in size like Voidwalker's [i]Annihilate[/i], or provide them with a blinding effect within a certain radius for their duration like the [i]Purifier Robes[/i] do for Fireborn. [i]Solar Wind[/i] either needs an increase to knock-back distance, and the ability to push multiple grouped enemies at once, or to be redesigned as a Solar projectile. [i]Viking Funeral[/i] needs to be increased to 10% for 5-7 seconds [i]Brimstone[/i] should have a blinding explosion on hit, and a larger, non-blinding explosion on kills.

My sunsinger is actually rocking the cruicble, I use the solar grenades very well, with my sunbreakers. I used the explosive melee, with generating a orb on melee kill. And I use the reduce allies cool down perk too. Total support on my end. An I love solar grenades. Sunsinger isn't underpowered at all right now. Working just fine for me.

3 RepliesWhat are you talking about? I was just killed by a solar for the first time in over a month! Totally OP! And fusions work great... unless your playing against someone who uses cover and a scout/sniper/puls but who does that?

The new Viking funeral perk is welcome if it lasted for more than 3 seconds and did more than 5% more damage. The only grenade worth using in pvp is fusion because fire bolts are pitiful now and people are not afraid of solar grenades whatsoever. Id like to see a number of changes to the subclass that promotes more team oriented play. The sunsinger's roaming super gets shutdown by almost every super. People laugh when they use it, and just use normal gunfire to take them out. Ps: Heart of the Praxic Fire is broken I don't give hoot about that combo that was only annoying in one game mode, but I would like to not feel disappointed in my favorite class.

47 RepliesBut the way you and every other sunsinger (me included) use to run was exactly the same. Viking funeral/touch of flame/firebolts. You ask for variety but really you just want to go back to the same thing you've been using since launch. Flame shield delay isn't that bad you are over exaggerating. It just brings you down to a titan and hunter level, meaning they actually have a chance to win a Melee fight. Sunsinger is still my favorite warlock class. You still have ranged melee They fixed touch of flame, it now does normal damage so people will burn out from Melees again Fusions are really easy to use, though can be inconsistent at times. Now a buff that would be in order would be: Reverse the nerf to the base damage of firebolts, maybe give them a little more since they don't burn you forever anymore. Bring back what little agility and armor that was taken away. That's about it.
