C'mon, Bungie. There is virtually no limit to how much space you could give us. It's just an arbitrary number. Please, increase the available space/slots.
With each Expansion, update, etc, the number of weapons, armor, and items has grown. There are lots of things to collect, and any/all of them can be usable. Multiple great rolls on weapons, sets of armor with different elemental and/or ammo bonuses, max light infusion fuel. You know the current vault space is not enough. And with no real reason to not increase it, it kind of just constitutes a d*ck move on your part.
We, the community, put up with a lot of crap from you, Bungie. (You know it's true, so please don't belittle our intelligence by being churlish enough to try and deny it.) Show us that, just once, you're listening, and you want to do something for us; something, which, by the way, won't actually cost you anything but one number different in a line of code. It would be such a small effort on your part that would be greatly appreciated by all. Thanks.
Edit: So much hate and salt from people who vehemently do NOT want extra vault space at their disposal! I stand corrected, Bungie. It would NOT, in fact, be appreciated by "all".

1 ReplyDefinitely, I'd prefer to see vault space added with a patch sometime in the second half of August after support for the ps3 and 360 ends.

Coding sometimes gets in the way. People have asked for years for a bigger base backpack in World of Warcraft. Sounds simple, right? But because of how the backpack is coded, there's a series of knock on effects that make it virtually impossible to do. They will be able to do more when the legacy consoles are left behind. But there are limits. Coding eventually wins.

I don't need it. But I'd never say no to more :p

With armour and weapons being made redundant with each expansion, what's the use?

1 ReplyI'll start deleting my old weapons when new ones are Better instead of Worse than the old stuff.

Need it also, expect it with rise of iron guardian :)

1 ReplyThere IS a limit to how much vault space they can give each player
-
24 RepliesThey can't NOW because of legacy consoles dragging us down. Expect more space with rise of iron
-
10 RepliesDab emoji We also need it
-
Just give us the entire Vault of Glass!

They have explicitly addressed this in interviews. They said something along the lines of "vault space problems will be a thing of the past". The context suggested to me that they will be doing something entirely different for the vault system. Or maybe we will just get a shit ton of space. Either way. Just be patient.

1 ReplyI'm all for more Vault Space, but this thread is earning a down vote from me.

I have every cloak. I need cloak space. That's really it

3 RepliesStop hoarding and delete your shitty items. Problem solved

7 RepliesI think what would solve this issue ten times over is just creating a kiosk like we have for our exotics. In this kiosk, it will hold every weapon ever made for the game and every gear piece. When an item drops to you, you can re-buy that item at the kiosk. But the item bought at the kiosk will drop at a different roll. To purchase the item, it will cost 2K glimmer. This way, it will free up all of our vault space. The items you got the roll you wanted, can then go into you're vault. I think a lot of us horde weapons. Doing a kiosk thing would free up so much, as well as letting us know what we haven't unlocked in the game yet.

7 RepliesI thought it was a legacy console limitation. RoI should help.
-
This is only speculation, though I got an idea that when Rise Of Iron releases we'll have more vault space due to moving away from legacy systems.
-
Why can't you just add on pages every time you fill one up??
-
3 RepliesMore vault space is coming soon, if you haven't heard already. One problem with the vault is the way Bungie changed how materials are stored. In Y1 materials were consolidated by type into a slot. In Y2 each slot stores only 200 materials. Expect this to change when the new content is released.

3 RepliesEdited by Zayas: 8/2/2016 2:07:58 AMPeople will disagree with you no matter what you say, and this forum is a lot more blunt (some might argue toxic) than most. But don't get discouraged, a lot more people are behind this as well. That's just how it is.

I agree we need more vault space or rather the same mechanic as most other MMorpgs and that's separate character vaults and one account vault. If each character has multiple armour sets to collect and numerous guns with millions of roll possibilities the. It's going to be impossible to store it all. I main a warlock and 90% of my gear is for said warlock, my poor hunter and Titan have to use their personal inventory space to hold their additional armour pieces and I have to chop and change between characters. And yes I'm a day1/beta and I'll admit I keep loads of things, mostly infusion material or multiple rolls of armour etc. It surely can't be difficult to give each character their own vault space. Hopefully this will be addressed in destiny 2.

Defiantly agree I'm constantly running out of space
