SBMM is going too far. Fun factor is GONE.
SBMM is absolutely out of control lately. It's gotten to the point where I go insane. I'm muttering nonsense... I'm taking screen shots and film like I'm making a documentary... I'm currently selling my soul on Ebay for the low low price of "Just one Fking teammate". Every lobby I'm in is an Olympic one where each player represents a different nation. My favorite game lately was a 3v3. One of my teammates was using a Hakke test weapon and the other had full green and blue gear. The enemy team had 2 god roll Grasp of Maloks and a Last Word. Every game I go into is designed for me to lose. (4 out of 5 are in progress on the losing team) I swear every bullet I shoot is a limp dick tator tot. I've tried over 20 guns lately n they all have a NERF logo on the side instead of Suros or Omolon. My enemies have all been outfitted laser guided heat seeking butthole penetrating rounds. SBMM has hit a new level of BS. It's going too far. I'll just be over here in the corner crying and picking up pieces of butthole and controller.

9 RepliesTrials has destroyed more friendships in my group then any other game mode, I myself truly dislike Trials and will only play when new weapons and armor is available. I personally prefer Iron Banner but even it gets sweaty, laggy and red barred. But I'll tolerate IB before ToO any day of the week.

Banner in particular should be 100% open. I.e. First on que are matched. All weapons,gear accepted. Nerfs removed to "out of box" status. And. .................... GO! Banner imo is supposed to be "bring what you got and kill or be killed". So what if you get destroyed. Just a game. Side note- fire teams are a whole other monster. Let's be honest. No team of randos are going to consistently win against seal team 6. So that's a touchy argument and solution. Otherwise. Enter. And play on!

3 RepliesYeahhh it is pretty bad. I usually only do crucible during events, so in the last iron banner I noticed that. Biggest losing streak I got was around 25-30 losses due to really badly matched teams. Just crazy

Yeah pvp is utter garbage anymore. It's not fun to play. Trying to do weapon master last night with hand cannon and swear a third of bullets hit someone but didn't register. Plus the lag is so bad I was getting killed before people would even see me or getting shot and dying when 5 feet around a corner. Seriously not considering buying Rise of Iron because the pvp is so bad anymore.

It's basically putting me and a few other retards against a team of triple flawless, last word, longbow users who it seems like have a 6th senses dedicated to this damn game. Yeah now that's what I call balance.

Its why I haven't been in Crucible in a little while, hasn't been fun at all recently. And if I go in with friends, its easier on me sometimes but they sure don't have any real fun. Just doesn't work right now

Fine the game will match you with scrubs against all pretty solid players to match elo scores. That will teach you a lesson about having skill. Next time suck at the game to boost your chances of winning.

The majority of your enemies had a 1 kd or lower the highest was like 1.2? Sbmm caused this you say? You alone were the "stacked" player or team, you lost get over it. Also Lag isn't caused by sbmm, lag is caused by people with shitty connections, I still come across a shit load of laggy people from my own country/state.

Sbmm is to keep the game fair for everyone. Otherwise noobs are getting matched up with elites. The problem is the red bar gods that dont take damage or teleport around and god forbid all their damage delt registers at one time. The new formula they were using for control felt nice. Not alot of red bars and most of the games were semi close

I stopped playing it. Only play Iron Banner. Now that I have 3 toons at 334 I won't play IB either.

I was more referring to not everyone has to use the same weapon to succeed and subclasses seem balanced also. The lag is still a real thing and hopefully they can clean it up.

I played three matches in a row against all (different) 6 man teams. I just thought it was odd and is this what people are doing to stay positive?

4 RepliesI have the exact same issue. Its impossible for me to solo que into games, especially Skirmish (used to be my favourite playlist). I found myself barely playing Destiny anymore because of the match making, unless my friends convince me to play in a full fire team. I might be in top 1% but Im not by any means a "hard core" Destiny player. I play for fun, casually, mainly crucible. When I cant do this I decided to get off Destiny until I can notice a difference. Litterarely every other game I get paired up with 0.7's and Im facing a full team with 1.5+ kd's, having to battle on my own uphill. Usually my team mates quit the game early and countless times Im in for a 1v3. It's an absolute disgrace and sometimes I wish that some other guardian would play on my account just to see how horrible it is to sit at my elo/kd.

1 ReplyI'd be fine with SBMM if they introduced private custom matches. Then you could have your fun, but when you feel competitive you can hop into regular Crucible.
