SBMM is going too far. Fun factor is GONE.
SBMM is absolutely out of control lately. It's gotten to the point where I go insane. I'm muttering nonsense... I'm taking screen shots and film like I'm making a documentary... I'm currently selling my soul on Ebay for the low low price of "Just one Fking teammate". Every lobby I'm in is an Olympic one where each player represents a different nation. My favorite game lately was a 3v3. One of my teammates was using a Hakke test weapon and the other had full green and blue gear. The enemy team had 2 god roll Grasp of Maloks and a Last Word. Every game I go into is designed for me to lose. (4 out of 5 are in progress on the losing team) I swear every bullet I shoot is a limp dick tator tot. I've tried over 20 guns lately n they all have a NERF logo on the side instead of Suros or Omolon. My enemies have all been outfitted laser guided heat seeking butthole penetrating rounds. SBMM has hit a new level of BS. It's going too far. I'll just be over here in the corner crying and picking up pieces of butthole and controller.

I played my first 3 crucible games as a Titan today and I was using the Belicose to hover snipe with No Land Beyond. Was fun as hell. I wanna Garrison no scope people with No Land Beyond so damn bad but I just can't get the piece of armor. Any pro tips on how I can get it? Edit: 22 3oC later GOT IT. It's so F'n on.

Frankly we have all been there and got demolished but a lot of the time too we do well. The thing I hate about SBMM is that it matches you with players who have made crucible sooooo boring and tedious. "Playing to win" with all the same old same old weapons (you know exactly which ones). I honestly use what the game gives us: a huge arsenal of weapons and so many are really fun to use but NO ONE in the crucible I play in uses them. Currently I'm trying imago loop/chaperone, imago loop/spindle, and Judith/telesto. I can hold my own but you realise how much of a crutch the current meta weapons are and also that the reason you are matched with these players is cos they forever use these guns and don't put them down. Why? Try something else be different isn't that fun and interesting? All the streamers do exactly the same thing using all the same weapons repeatedly every week. The fantastic exceptions include TrueVanguard who get good with every weapon in the game. These players make destiny fun not for themselves but for others and inspire others to use the diverse range of loadouts. The April update helped forge a boring meta, months later the majority use the same stuff. Take that staleness to trials and rumble and try out fun stuff in other modes. Learn to chill. I feel that sbmm is unfair for bad players since when I go play solo I get the worst possible teammates (99% of the time) and they get absolutely destroyed by the enemy team which probably sucks for my teammates while I try to carry them and destroy my opponents. But how is it sbmm when my random teammates have 800 elo while I have 1400 and opponents all have around 1000. They obviously destroy my teammates and they are not at the same skill level. But the game tries to balance it out by putting me with bad players while making it unfair for them. Sometimes when I see my teammates go 1 kill and 23 deaths I just feel bad for them having to play in the same game as me just to balance it out. Especially when I play 3s with one friend, our random third is always very very bad but still tries his best against opponents that are higher level than him :"( We might win the game but seeing someone die 30 times in one match will not improve his sanity :(

1 ReplyRuined it for me too. Now I just play against try hards who are half a world away from me. Connection should always be primary when matching players, especially with the atrocious connection issues Destiny has always suffered. I'd rather wait ten minutes for a game, than play against ghost players.

2 RepliesFun factor right now may be gone because you've been using a similar loadout for to long and with game this old, you have to change it up to make sure you'll keep enjoying it. My "sweatys" loadout is Hawkmoon and sniper, a combo I used all the time and just got bored of. Now that I'm using Nirwen's Mercy/Fusion, I'm having a lot more fun in Crucible.

2 RepliesThe only place I genuinely like SBMM is in Rumble. I've had a lot of fun with the really close games...even though it means I'm a month out from ever getting those 100 rumble wins.

Edited by K1LRR: 8/5/2016 8:49:13 AMIt's really affecting the one's that have high elo/kd. The one's that are sub 1.0/1000 elo are just stuck along for the ride. It creates a horrible experience for both players because you have a mix between sweaty matches and playing with teammates that aren't helpful.

I'm an average player and I hate how long it takes to match make. When 30 minutes of your crucible rep booster goes to match making it's ridiculous.

8 Repliesjust curious, why are people on here only having "fun" when they are winning? i don't think i have seen a post were someone was complaining they were winning too much. i miss the days when a very close battle, only decided in the closing moments, was "fun".

Every match is sweaty, and all of the sudden everyone not on my team has Mtashed levels of sniping skill. (Or whoever you want, point is, it's like they all became pro.)
