I'm sure there are people out there who are deadly with the Hunter's throwing knives. Maybe enough to call it an unfair advantage to be called a "one hit kill".. I get that, but is a blink strike a one hit kill? Almost always.. Is a shoulder charge a one hit kill?.. Most definitely. Flame shield?.. Yeah😒.. Then I start to pull my hair out and demand it to be a one hit kill.
I get the balance issues.. But let's take the Hunter for what it is.. Weaker than the other class by design. Uses its agility to traverse the battle field with stealth and quickness its strongest allies. The Hunter has not shield if any sort.. (If I'm wrong, please tell me so I can equip it as soon as possible) I'm not complaining 99% of the time.. I'm playing the damn game. I enjoy this game, I want it to be fun. But it's not fun when I'm trading with a Warlock in and out of cover and they already have a shield that I chew up (with my dis 43) plus a little chunk of their health bar.. I pop out of cover to throw a knife, it lands solid upper torso.. I wait.. No kill, fight still on. So I attack, I rush with almost full health turn the corner get only to be melee'd and turn into particles red matter.. It was a good time for a break anyways.
That happened about 25 minutes ago.. I mean.. Really?.. I'm throwing a foot long dagger that has to be calculated almost perfectly with the distance and elevation required to get a headshot.. I hope you guys care, it's not worth it to commit to throw the knives if you know they have no reward. It's the hardest melee to learn with the least benefit. That's not fun. Take another look at the gunslinger's throwing knives.. Thank you. Delta

If I beat kraftyy in trials am I considered good? I see post like that all the time I'm just wondering. I don't wanna be left out the super secret club.... :(

2 RepliesShut up hunter scum.

1 ReplyImagine if they were infinite like the titans shoulder charge lol
-
Bungie, you -blam!-s! Fix the damn burn on the knife already. If they ever fix the "accidental" burn damage nerf and have the incendiary perk actually work every time then knives would be ok.
-
If be fine with a ohk but they'd have to make the hitboxes rational.
-
I use the perk that catches them on fire with the throwing knives :) if their shield down it usually does the trick!
-
Flame shield isn't a one-hit kill.
-
flame shield does not one hit kill... only does that in super, once. so... yup.
-
1 ReplyDude you are getting way ahead of yourself. They should just be buffed back to the way they were before the nerf.
-
7 RepliesI think the reason why the throwing knife isn't a one hit melee, is because of the perk where a precision kill recharges your melee. It would be nothing but throwing knives everywhere, and all the nerf hearders will come screaming in.
-
3 RepliesIn real life I don't you could survive a knife to the head, I think the game should have left it alone -sincerely, a Titan

Blink strike is only a one-hit kill from behind, because of a totally different perk. Shoulder charge isn't a specified melee. (Doesn't take a charge.) Sunsinger melee doesn't one hit kill unless in super.

You wanna know the difference between throwing knives and any other 1 hit kill melees? The throwing knife can be used at far ranges if don't correctly.
-
I'm not demanding a 1 hit kill on headshot but I am asking for increased damage on hits and longer duration for incendiary knives. Or same duration just more burn damage.
-
Get gud

I've been recording clips of this lately because it's absolutely pathetic. My huge knife gets thrown at your face and it doesn't even take out your shield? Seriously? I play all three classes and IMHO throwing knives require more skill than any of the other abilities. I'm not sure why, but PvP in Destiny seems like it's increasingly becoming less about skill and more about spam killing.

10 RepliesYour one fatal flaw is assuming "Hunters are weaker by design" They're not. They are by far the strongest PvP class in the game. So SHUT UP
-
4 RepliesI've gotten tagged by some ridiculous throws (helluva effort really). A Beckham bender as it were. They are brutal in the right hands. But because you have range on your side, they should not be a one shot. Learn to shoot and throw.

1 ReplyYou need to put down the crack pipe friend

1 ReplyNah they are fine.

3 RepliesIncredibly too weak?
So I attack, I rush with almost full health turn the corner get only to be melee'd and turn into particles red matter
You were pretty low on health if Scorch killed you..it hits about as hard as any other melee not factoring the burn, which you didn't experience because you disintegrated. You got outplayed, mate.

12 RepliesGg hunter was op for a long time. Golden gun is still a great class. I'm seeing more hunters rep every class. Rather than only gg. Same with titan and warlock. I would say on average I'm getting killed by a bit of everything. Not a ton of thorn, gg, and fellwinters. I was killed by throwing knives also. BTW throwing knife used to be osk and the hit box was enormous. U could aim for the door frame and get a crit kill. I hadn't been killed by so many various ways since the beginning of the game.

1 ReplyYesterday I shut down a bladedancer with a throwing knife. It just takes more skill now
-
You threw the knife too soon end of story.

I'm sad for the Hunters, they really jacked that class up something fierce. It's noticeable when fighting the 10min over shielded shoulder charging Titan (my god when titans lag, that's what nightmares are made of) vs fighting the jumpy ass Hunters. Signed, Warlock
