Remember the good ol' days when class items didn't have defense?
Seriously, who at Bungie thought that putting defense on class items was a good idea?
I want to be able to wear any class item that I choose. The ghost angel cloak, shattered vault cloak, and kellhunter's hood all are amazing cloaks. They were perfectly fine without defense, Stat boosts, or anything like that.
Same goes for any y1 content. Why would you make y1 content irrelevant when your game is desperately needing more content.
Edit: Let's get this trending so that hopefully someone at Bungie will see this.

I am 100 percent certain that they see all of the drought posts. And they don't care. Year1 weapons specifically will never be relevant again because in bungie's mind, they are too powerful. Too many year 1 weapons (both exotic and legendary) had AMAZING perks and TTK. Apparently they want their game to be boring, with no variety, and a lower TTK. This is why year 1 weapons for the most part are not brought back. Armor however, this one makes no sense. Like you said, there were tons of incredible armor sets for y1. Makes no sense to not make at least the armor relevant. Or maybe, they just cant. They don't have the space for all that content in this game. If that were the case, why not just tell us?

Bump!!!! Make my favorite year one cloaks that i still have stored in my vault relevant bungie again. Hate just looking at them.

I like the idea that class items and ghosts "do something". People in the forums were asking for it in year 1 also.

I still sometimes rock it on patrol to this day. Although thinking about it...if they were still just cosmetics, then you'd probably be seeing tons of Eververse class items in RNG packs. So its kind of a trade off.

2 RepliesThey have to make it irrelevant or there would be no reason to buy the new content they put out, even though destiny isn't an mmo it is like one and every mmo has to do this or else they will stop making money. They should of kept class items without stat rolls because it is more of a cosmetic thing if you ask me, and it adds a lot more variety to one's character

Yeah, I miss being able to wear the "Emerald Light" Warlock Bond that Eris Morn sells. Having said that, Warlock's have it better than Hunters and Titans. I find most Legendary Cloaks and Marks look inferior to their Rare ( and sometimes Uncommon ) counterparts.

Yep! I think class items shouldn't have defence. Class items should be a token of achievements to show off. The cloak from vog, mark from too, and bond from crota..... They should not have defence to be decided what to wear.
