Please fix the shoulder charge! I've played the game since the beta and have always mained a Titan and it just doesn't seem to play the way it used to. I've played every single day since the launch and primarily play crucible only play striker Titan so I know what I'm talking about because I've played everyday and I've slowly noticed these changes take place. It's seems like now shoulder charge just doesn't work the way it used to in several different ways:
1. It doesn't always make contact or hit the target
-in year 1 and the first half of year two anytime I hit shoulder charge it always hit its target! Anymore it seems like half the time it either completely misses or hits some sort of invisible barrier in front of the target.
2. It doesn't track like it should and used to so Again it doesnt always hit the target but rather misses
- I used to never have issues with shoulder charge like this. So basically if someone was floating in the air I could jump and hit shoulder charge and it would shoot me up towards the target or to the left/right or down all depending on their location naturally and I would hit the target now it just goes wildly anywhere it wants. I primarily run peregrine grieves so i jump and hit shoulder charge but the issue now is if the target is below me 60-70% of the time I hit some sort of invisible wall instead of my target.
3. I've retracted my statement about shotguns because someone on here gave a response that made me sit and think about my statement and their response was very well written and thought out and was something I hadn't truthfully though about prior to them mentioning it! I'd originally stated that I felt shotguns were shutting down a shoulder charge way too easy and way more often than ever before and I felt the perk had been nerfed and needed a buff. However I had not taken into consideration the comment a user made that the reason behind this wasn't shoulder charge or the user or even a op shotgun but rather they type and class of shotgun that has become popular to use in the crucible now, which is a very ranged very high impact shotgun which of shot at the right time has been stopping a shoulder charge from a long distance. In year one these types of shotguns were not popular or used regularly by players in the crucible so sc had the ability to kill anyone using a shotgun and could not be stopped by the shotguns being used and now that these ranged weapons are being used shoulder charge has become less effective and can easily be shut down which lead me to believe a very misguided and incorrect belief that shoulder charge had been nerfed or the shotguns had been buffed or both and I requested it to be adjusted to become More balanced. But after reading that comment and thinking about it I would like to retract my request and state that I agree with this users point!
So in conclusion I retract my statement about shotguns and can truthfully say the only real issue I can see with shoulder charge is the fact that if activated while above a target it sometimes hits an invisible wall Instead of the intended target

I can't see how you're missing, if I'm honest. The current state of it is that if you miss, you either got really unlucky, or your intended target dodged it, in which case you report for cheating. Considering the 90 degree turns it makes in order to try and nail a target, I'd be confused if I missed, and unsurprised if it killed me.

Now I'm not the type to whine to and fuss over stuff that is fair and say it's not just because I don't like it but this really isn't fair now! I am perfectly fine with getting killed by a shotgun while in running towards someone or before my shoulder charge is active or in any situation really but I feel that once you've hit the melee button to activate shoulder charge and you hear that sound it makes when it has been activated the only thing that should kill you is a super, a rocket, or TWO shotgun blasts!!!!! One shotgun blast prior to hitting shoulder charge but TWO after you've hit the button and it's made that sound! This is how it was in year one and how it should be now! In year one and all the way up to June/July of this year if I hit shoulder charge and heard it make that sound nothing could stop me but a super a rocket or two shotgun shots and I would end up with a kill or at least a trade which is fair but now no matter what you get killed when you try to shoulder charge which makes the ability practically useless! If you can't kill someone with it because they kill you with a shotgun what's the point of it? It should be at minimum a trade off with someone or a kill if you hear that shoulder charge activate prior to the shotgun shot but if it's the other way around the by all means the Titan should be dead but if you hear that charge first almost nothing should stop you! In the end it all sums up to please make the shoulder charge the way it used to be! Shoulder charge used to be my favorite thing in the game and the main reason I play and now I can't get on for more than 5 minutes without getting back off because you just can't play striker Titan with shoulder charge anymore due to these issues! Pilot error. Point 2. Shame on you for relying on any kind of tracking SC might have. Just do the work. You just have to clip someone for the kill. Personally I think it's bs that I can kill the other guy by catching a toe or a cloak. They can tighten that up for all I care. Point 3. Folks should and do have options to deal with a charging Striker. Asking for a nerf to a Guardians ability to defend themselves against us is an embarrassment to the Titan Consortium as a whole. Please hand in your dishtowel.

Maybe you are not doing as well with it because I was in a game earlier and one guy did nothing but shoulder charge and was about the only kills he could get. Trust me shoulder charge still works but keep this post going and it will fuel the fire for everyone else to nerf it. Especially since you are asking it to be almost invincible. Being a hunter main i get killed with it many times. It's annoying but I'm not asking for a nerf since its about 50/50 that I can get the shot before they connect. It's about timing don't run down someone in a wide open space where they have time to react and take the shots.

5 RepliesShoulder charge shouldn't track at all, but if so it should be minimal. A shotgun is one of the best defenses against shoulder charge. Last night I was shoulder charged from beyond the grave. A titan came running at me, I shotgunned him, he died. After a few seconds and running about 30 feet I fell over dead and it said cause of death was shoulder charge. I know the lag in iron banner is pretty fierce right now but c'mon. it was almost 5 seconds after the fact. That's a pretty long time to lag out like that.

5 RepliesNo. I main a titan and have since the beta as well. I promise that shoulder charge is fine. It's a high risk/high reward move. If done correctly the payout is fantastic. If not done correctly then you will most likely die. If shoulder charge got a buff even more hunters and warlocks would complain about it until it gets nerfed and overnerfed.

3 RepliesEdited by VladNiyush: 7/22/2016 2:42:15 PMHmm I strongly disagree with you, I may recently started to play a Striker Titan, but shoulder charge is just fine as it is, :/ even without the exotic boots you can 1-KO 8/10 targets and with transfusion you get your health back so you are ready to keep your killing spree. Shoulder charge should NOT have a tracking system, it should be based in the players ability to predict it tagets movements and such, otherwise 1.- it would be just too broken and 2.- can potentially mess your gameplay if you also use it as an evasive move combined with TG. Now with the boots and a little jump you can kill pretty much anything in your way... But well thats my opninion anyways xD

2 RepliesDude you named it off why you can't use it like you use 2 an that because it doesn't home in anymore like it use 2 take it from me someone who has been hit with them constantly. Running from a charge back then was impossible cause it homed in on everyone. Jump up from a shoulder charge it followed you up an hit you. Run behind a wall or corner shoulder charge followed around the corner an almost threw walls. What has happened 2 it taken away it's homeing 2 a point is what it should have been along. It's still a one hit kill be more accurate when your chargeing instead of you relieing on it 2 home in. The only problem there is now is all the lag in the pvp that makes them difficult 2 deal with.

1 ReplyShoulder charge shouldn't track lol, it should only travel in the direction you were sprinting. Can't tell you how many times a sprinting Titan stops on a dime and immediately shoulder charges to their immediate left or right.
