Overwatch: Counters
I'm making this thread so that the Overwatch players here may engage in discussion upon which characters are effective counters against the others, and hopefully become better at the game from this knowledge. A few may be obvious, but I'll list them anyway. Feel free to comment and add to my list, I'm sure I'll miss something, then I'll try to keep everything I can in the OP. If you are confused why a character is listed a certain way, please ask as well. I play some characters more than others, so if you main someone and think I left out a detail, once again, please say so, this is to be a detailed table of information.

2 RepliesSymmetra destroys D.Va. Man I've had a lot of fun lately playing her against all the cocky D.va players. They fly in, I jump behind them and start doing damage, they throw up matrix thinking it will save them. They get to about half health before they realize it does nothing and then try to kill me, but can't hit me. By that point my cannon is at level 3 and -blam!-s her mech and then dva herself when she hops out.

11 RepliesI'm going to have to disagree with a large amount of this list. Some of the counters you suggest simply don't make any sense to me and multiple, well known, hard counters aren't even listed.

5 RepliesA good Genji has only one counter, that's Winston. Problem is that Reaper rekts Winston, most teams use a Genji, Reaper.

7 RepliesWhy is your Bastion list so long? The only ones that can counter him are Genji, Zenyatta, and Widowmaker, and the first two don't counter him if he tracks his targets and stops shooting. Auctually, Genji can still flank him, so he can take him out from his crit. Yeah, but the others aren't that great.

Ana can counter Ana in a weird way. -Sleep Dart negates a nano boosted enemy -biotic grenade prevents healing from her nade or gun -Nano boosted enemy barely needs healing so if the debuff is applied its next to worthless

Bastion can counter Winston, his shield and health aren't enough to let him kill a good Bastion who can aim. Lucio also counters Soldier, from my experience, since he can always outheal Soldier's damage, though you shouldn't be soloing anyone with Lucio in the first place. Pharah counters Reaper, since her rocket damage will likely force the Reaper to waste his Wraith form, allowing her to finish him off from a distance, even if he heals himself. Tracer can, in most cases, counter Hanzo. I haven't seen any Hanzo consistently kill a Tracer, more often than not, those were lucky shots.

You show me a Winston that can easily kill me as Bastion and I'll show you someone who must be cheating in some way. Seriously, Winston might as well not exist if a competent Bastion is on the other team. And most Bastions are competent enough for it.
