I have to imagine that when Xbox's project Scorpio comes out with 6 teraflops, there should more than ample space for an unlimited vault. Consoles should be able to hold all that data and devs will have ample room for all that code. I'm looking forward to it in 2017.

I could have a 6 Tflop GPU with only 2gb of VRAM, Low clock speeds and poor shader counts, combined with a low end APU that is highly underclocked and bottlenecking to the rest of the system. Just saying.

You see, I'm curious about something. Aside from game assets, how much profile data really is on our respective boxes? Aren't our inventories and vault contents tied to our Bungie.net profile rather than to our savegame data? If that's the case, what difference makes whether a console is on current gen or past gen if all that data is on server(s) up in the cloud (or Kirkland)?

Everybody else will be running High End PlayStations and Xboxes. Bungie will still have the Packard Bell 120 from Radio Shack supporting it all because its to expensive to upgrade their code and equipment unless you have some Silver to throw their way. Lol

Edited by GrundleBeans: 7/15/2016 8:49:27 PMWon't change anything though, because Destiny will still be on the systems we've got now and for quite some time. Though we'll get a vast improvement by getting rid of legacy support, devs will still be confined to the limitations of current gen. Not to mention Scorpio is only 1 console platform and Destiny is on 2. Xbox players won't be getting anything extra from the game if they buy a Scorpio.

Everything the Scorpio and neo can play. The one and 4 have to be able to play. There will be no exclusives or specials or anything for better consoles. Both xbox and Sony have confirmed this...
-
It would have to be on both consoles. Whatever happens in destiny will always happen the same on both. But ps will always get a few extras. Destiny will always be a ps based game
-
Probably won't happen, they'll be trying to keep the games as similar as possible (much like how Xur can't sell exclusive guns even on PSN until xbox gets those leftovers a year later). Would be nice, don't get me wrong I'd love some more vault space, I have too many interesting things I want to hang on to.

Vault space is stored on cloud servers with the rest of your character information. It won't matter how much space you have on your console if Bungie's servers still suck.
-
This will be the end of console blaming and companies will start to show weakness.
-
I imagine it would be possible. But would it be implimented?
-
Unlimited vault space should never be a thing.

Should've assumed with all the PS4 fanboys in here nobody would respond ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
