Close your eyes, imagine the crucible without sniper rifles
How sweet would that feel? Being able to 1v1 guardians with your primary and see who comes out on top.
Being able to peek out of a hallway without having 3 snipers glares staring down at you.
Playing a game of trials where the opponent does not just sit back in their base and snipe.
Shooting your opponent with your primary, without the fear of being magically blained by his sniper.
No more TLW and sniper loadout.
Ohhhh this would be a sweet feeling indeed. I would feel...ummm.... What is that word...? ....... Balance???

Seems like people think it would be a shotgun fest. Doubt it. Shotguns were nerfed since year 1. They don't have the same range, nor is blink as powerful as before.

If it's not snipers it's going to be shotguns. Snipers are easier to avoid and counter imo. There only so much you can do when a shotgun toting monster comes flying at you. Not sticking my head around the corner that is a common lane, easy. And I'm by no means a good sniper. Out of the 3-4 games today I maybe had 5-8 sniper kills? I prefer shotty but I do think it's fun trying to snipe sometimes.

Most only use them because they are the meta. If you get killed by a sniper he's either a good sniper or you -blam!-ed up. Shotguns still wreck, at the distance they are suppose to. Snipers should be limited to 3 shots in PvP, they also need some kind of flinch, but then if you have the easier to aim under fire perk it would cancel said flinch. I hate snipers in this game, nlb fair play, it's an amazing weapon and is kinda more a rifle than a sniper rifle, but getting quick scoped from 3ft away after a primary battle is just stupid. God dam short gaze snap shot combo. However.. Snipers are a high caliber weapon, if you try and combat a sniper from distance by going toe to toe you deserve to lose. You gotta dance like a mofo whilst still maintain your aim, that takes skill. Skill I don't have, can talk a good game just can't apply it in game.lol

7 RepliesYou can't eliminate snipers from the game, but you CAN eliminate the aim assist that goes along with them. When a game includes perks that enhance auto aim.....There's a problem. The Sniper rifle in destiny takes very little skill to kill someone with, simply because of the aim assist and bullet magnetism. Tone those WAY down, and watch people stop using snipers. Make the Sniper rifle a skilled based weapon again. I mean I am absolute garbage at crucible, and I can throw on a Sniper rifle and pick up some very easy kills. That's a problem
