This would be a cool addition to Destiny. Shaders that have cool effects to them. Like a Magma shader which has magma moving around through your armor. Or a lighting shader which has like a similar effect like the Impossible Machine but its throughout your characters armor.
Man, its Real MF Guardian Hour! If you agree with me, smash that mf BUMP button!
Edit: its funny how something like this can still bring negativity. This community is something else.

You're essentially arguing for more micro-transactions. I'm not sure how I would feel about my entire destiny character looking like a BO3 gun shader.
-
Rather than shaders, how about this. They remove artifacts from game. Use the slot to add shield modules with elemental properties, stats and a cosmetic skin. This would add both dynamic utility and cosmetic potential to the game. Throw the 'Omolon Heliosarkos MSM' on for a functional increase in.. -Light -Stats(int,str,disc,armr,agil,recov -some affinity towards it's corresponding subclass -a solar-based shield against foes (Basically adding elemental protection to the shield we already have) And, of course, a very stylish, cascading firesilk finish. A perfect balance bright embers, sparks and smoldering ash.

2 RepliesThat's what I wanted the Taken Shader to be but they said it's too much work.

liked!

Or like a darkness shader where dark aura flows around the guardian and uk lightning sparks here and their around the body as well
-
You mean like call of duty.

2 RepliesSomeone wants to bring Cod BO3 to destiny lol
-
I think a maritime camo shader would be cool.
-
Anybody who played Gears 3 will know that most of the gun skins would looks AMAZING as shaders in this game. I want a liquid metal Hunter so bad lol.
-
3 RepliesAwesome idea! They should do that thing like the chips where someone votes on an idea and top ideas actually get implemented in game

cool idea.. lots of stuff like this could be incorporated into the game.

You're expecting to much from destiny.

1 ReplyHow about exotic emotes? You would do something and it would have an effect such as dancing and as you are dancing music plays in the background. Something like that.
-
I'm not sure what you guys think about this but if these shaders affected your guns too that'd be freaking awesome imo.
-
A titan one that turns green when you hulk smash :)
-
Agreed, exotic shaders would be an amazing addition! I like your ideas!
-
Love it.

3 RepliesRemember when they did this in Halo Reach?

Agree

Who knows, maybe with the end of last gen consoles they can start to implement things like this. It would be pretty cool to have shaders with enhanced effects.
-
Just as importantly, I feel like we need animated emblems as well. :D I know Halo 5 has added some new emblems and some of those have a "shimmer" effect to them. Seeing as Bungie is dropping legacy consoles, might as well start testing the limitations of new consoles.

3 RepliesThe closest thing to this currently are some of the Warlock Bonds. Idk which ones they are, but there were couple from Y1 I believe that were on fire, so your arm had that flaming effect on it all the time.
