ELEVEN Officers TARGETED and SHOT by SNIPERS
During a protest in Dallas, two officers have been shot. I'm getting my information from the local fox affiliate, as I live in the area. Is this supposed to fix the problem? Shooting police? This infuriates me. I think what happened in Minnesota and Louisiana are both terrible, but going and shooting police officers who are doing their job makes me sick. I LIVE here, and now, two perfectly innocent police officers could be dead, in addition to the two men murdered by police in MN and Louisiana, and whoever the media don't decide to report on. This incident didn't fix anything, it just made things worse. It's ridiculous.
EDIT: Shooter is still active, and is armed with a rifle.
EDIT: One wounded officer has yet to be moved out of the area. There are dozens of officers armed, with guns drawn.
EDIT: four DART, dallas public transport service, officers were shot, and one has died.
EDIT: SWAT negotiators are talking with the suspect.
EDIT: Ten officers have been shot by two snipers.
Thee have died
Three are in critical condition
Two are in surgery.
This is from a statement from Dallas Police.
This was a peaceful protest. Police officers were taking photos with protesters, and it was nothing but peacful.
THESE OFFICERS WERE TARGETED
THESE OFFICER HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG
This is inexcusable

It's reprehensible, revenge killing solves nothing. It only creates more tension. "No justice, no peace"; it's time to stop ignoring the problem, it's gotten this bad; and it's only going to get worse, it's time to face it.

Its only a matter of time when your killing people across the country consequence free till people start shooting back. Everytime it happens the targets on their backs is gonna get bigger aslong as they 100% get away with it. I live in SC we had 2 of these shootings, the cops were in jail that night, thats how you deal with this stuff and not let it escalate.

4 RepliesI'm not supporting what happened in just pointing out something that may have driven them to do this. Maybe they thought that if they killed white police officers that the white families would feel the black families pain of losing a loved one to needless violence. I absolutely despise what they did but the police probably should have seen this coming. Violent protests were bound to breakout.

they need more training...that poor guy who tried to sneak up on the shooter with a handgun against a assault rifle and bullet proof vest was dumb...just like the shooting in LA 20 years ago by the Russians, the inability to determine when you are seriously outgunned did not register and it cost lives....courageous yes...smart no.

one of the dead officers graduated from the same high school I'm in right now, only 20 years apart, thing is some of my teachers knew him and had him as a student, it's sad
