New Matchmaking Settings

1 ReplyI've had some matches that are more laggy than normal and some with all good connections. The biggest thing I've noticed is the difference in skill. Somehow I seem to get into more lop sideded games than normal, usually a team of good players who know how control works against a team of crappy players who have no idea what's going on. I've been stuck on a couple of teams now that got curb stomped because I was the only one trying to capture the zones while the rest of my team sat hard scoping lanes and getting picked off one by one. If you have 1 kill, a .13 kd and 0 captures at the end of the game, it's time to find something else to do.

My feedback is that I hardly noticed a difference....again. All these tweaks and still can't get it right.

Still get matched with the same pool of about 20 sweaty players in AU/NZ... connections are still horrible. No change.

Played 1 match of control last night to check out control connections. It was the worst game I've played in months. The whole lobby was red bar for the most part. Was really bad

Fix trials bs. I didn't go flawless last night bc the first team I lost to was red bar n lagging everywhere teleporting n impossible to kill.

3 RepliesPlayed 3 games of control with a fireteam of 4 last night... First game we got destroyed. Second game came down to the last minute but we won by 3K. Third game we nearly mercy-ruled them...20K to 6K. no lag but I got fist-of-havoc'd while I was on the the other side of a wall.

4 RepliesEdited by HyperVigiIant: 7/10/2016 10:44:30 PMNo matter what mode you play, if you consistently do well whilst playing solo in the Crucible, you will find yourself playing against nearly full fireteams of above average players, and your teammates will go negative more often than not. It honestly gets tiring to use up so much energy because you always have to overcompensate for your (lack of) teammates. It is a good idea to take a lot of breaks from the Crucible, even if it means that you'll be behind your competitors for a while. This game isn't a job, but it sure feels like it sometimes.

6 RepliesI aren't great in pvp, so I will need all the help from my teammates! So why the heck am I the one that match up with teammates keep having 0.19 Kd at the end of the game and the opposite team are all positive?

It's been especially bad this afternoon. At least 2 reds every game or greens that turn red mid game.

Now watch Bungie go ahead and implement these settings globally with little to no changes.

Just admit your mistake and revert match-making to what it was. It's not just high kd players that are frustrated with this change.

Almost every match I've played has been a 5v6 or even 4v6. Yellow bars and red bars galore. Definitely not a step in the right direction in my experience.

Lag is the same or worse...Red and yellow bars all day.

1 ReplyHow long does it take to complete an exotic class item quest? About 25 matches, been working on it since 1pm, it's almost 7pm now, I JUST got to 9 wins, that last one alone took 1-2 hours. I know it's not your fault Cosmo, but damn if they could just play this themselves to see how bad it is, I'm seething with anger over the unfairness of the matches with expending a shotgun shell while hugging someone, them winning the shotgun duel and me dealing 0 damage to them, even though I respswn with one less shell.

I don't have the best internet, but this recent update fixed matchmaking for me. I don't know what wrong with other people, but I've had full matches of greenbars consistently and my internet isn't great. Before the update, however, I had awful lag, so definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks Bungie, always nice when you help fix problems :)
