When will Warlock's have an evade ability?
[spoiler]Not a Nerf post[/spoiler]Hunters have Shadestep it comes as a perk and in Graviton Forfeit. Titans have Twilight Garrison but, where is the Warlocks? I'm not complaining or anything just curious. I know there's an exotic Warlock boot yet to come. Hopefully it will come in the the upcoming DLC Rise of Iron. What type of evasive maneuver do you think the Warlock will have?

400 Replies alot more feedback than I thought this post would get. There are some reasonable arguments why Warlocks shouldn't have an evade. I agree with each class should be unique. The example Warlocks & Hunters have blink
Hunters & Titans have evade.
Titans & Warlocks have overshield.
Although the Titans blink is Shoulder Charge. Also the Warlocks overshield got a nerf. This is just something to think about I'd say.

If Bungie gives us an Evade Ability through a piece of EQ or subclass node then that would be neat. Otherwise to say we deserve one is asinine.

4 RepliesBlink, overshield (which didn't get a nerf it starts a few seconds after you melee so you can get it if there is lag or something or to give Titans and Hunters a chance at melee battles), self-res, a very fast mobile super, a helm with life steal every melee hit if you're using void that is, gauntlets that give two melees, chest piece that gives grenade energy back after respawn, chest piece that gives a second sticky grenade, shotgun melee, landfall, nothing monocles, sorry but Warlocks are fine, they don't need another clutch

We have blink but so do hunters. If Warlocks were to use blink as their "evade" then we need something to enhance that ability and make it more unique to our class.

8 RepliesMy "problem" I have with Warlocks not having one is that the titan gets his evade from an armor piece. Whereas the Hunter has it by default. It only slightly bothers me that they gave the titans it and not the Warlock as well. If only Hunters had it I wouldn't really care. I still don't care too much though😂

9 RepliesLet me explain something to you.. There are 3 DIFFERENT classes. There are 9 DIFFERENT subclasses. Each class/subclass having equal abilities, pros, and cons totally defeats the purpose of having said classes and subclasses. If you don't like that the Warlock has no "evade" maneuver, then switch to a class that does. Btw, Blink is currently the best evade maneuver in the game since the recent patch. Sure, it doesn't allow you the ability to change your course of direction no matter what way you're currently moving, but you get 2 Blinks before a cooldown, and you move a much larger distance than Shadestep or Twilight Garrison. Blink, in case you didn't know, is available as a Voidwalker, which is a Warlock subclass. Boom roasted. No but seriously, there are differences among subclasses for a reason. If you don't like a certain aspect of your subclass, or if you [i]do[/i] like a certain aspect of another subclass, you are free to make the switch at anytime.

9 RepliesEvade maneuvers, especially shade step, offer significant PvP advantages over blink. Blink is a jump, not an addition to a jump. Blink is not an evade nor does it serve the same purpose, nor is it as effective. I don't see warlocks having an evade anymore impractical than a titan having one. Besides that, all 3 classes have blink in one form or another.
