Before you all say "since when is ign relevant?" Or "I guess they didn't pay them enough", this much is obvious.
While I've only played about 30 minutes of it, it definitely doesn't seem to be that bad at all. All the reviewer complained about was how difficult the game was and how during cutscenes the mouths only move without facial expression. Like what the hell? I found it to be a hilarious video review, and they didn't get in depth with it at all. I hate ign with a passion, and this kind of just tops the cake.
Yes I know I haven't played much but I can't believe this game could be that bad according to them.
Any of you think it's deserved? Or do you think it's uncalled for and they didn't get paid well enough for a good review?

1 ReplyReviews are a thing of subjectivity. One reviewers will definitely review something differently than another. That is what people do not get. It should not be affecting your experience.

IGN are the guys that gave Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky a 4.9, and the people who gave AW a 9.3...

8 RepliesEdited by DjNormal: 6/30/2016 6:27:00 PMMost of the reviews are crapping on the game because it's not a AAA title. If they took a step back and rated it like the b-list game it is, it's not bad at all. I'm about 4 hours in and I had to force myself to put it down so I'd be awake at work tomorrow. While the writing and voice acting does leave something to be desired, the lore is pretty deep so far as I've seen. The graphics are quite well done and it maintains a better than average frame rate on consoles. It could just be that it's touching on the cyberpunk niche that I've been desperately wanting for ages. So I may be biased. It does have its quirks and tedium, but none of it has been deal breaking for me yet. The combat reminds me of The Witcher 3, in both its good and bad points. I can see they were shooting for Mass Effect and landed somewhere around Risen 3 (except the combat isn't infuriating at the beginning). In all honesty, I'd give the game a 6.5/10 so far, which is like an IGN 8. Edit: The more I've played, the more I'm enjoying the game. I can definitely see things that could/would be irritating in the long run or to other players, but they aren't bothering me that much yet.

I have never heard of the game, but that was a bad review. He barely talked about the game. If I was remotely interested in it, I wouldn't have any more knowledge about it than the animations were stiff and he wasn't very good at it. If you go to open opencritic.com and enter his name, you can see every review that person has done to see if they are even worth listening to.

What did they give dark souls 3? I think only one npc's mouth moves when speaking.

If everyone stops watching IGNs videos then they will die out and we never have to hear about another shitty review they give to a good game or a great review they give to a shitty game.
-
1 ReplyIts not 10/10 unless its COD -IGN
-
1 ReplyIdk, I thought it looked awesome from the gameplay, and it's got about 4 1/2 stars on the Xbox store. You know IGN, they're not exactly the best at proper reviews.
-
You can't spell ignorant without IGN.

1 ReplyBeen hearing about this game, mainly how people are ether surprised or disappointed with it. Why is it such a hot topic?

4 RepliesIgn is trash
they ragged on overwatch, saying it should've had a story, yet gave it a 10/10????
-
They're called IGN-orant for a reason.
-
"for more on better rpgs" He takes his job as seriously as a comment section. Totally unprofessional.
-
1 ReplyI'd look at more reviews and maybe reddit for a better idea. Which I'll do as soon as i get home since the game does interest me.
-
I have mixed feelings about this game but I am interested in it. I have even more mixed feelings about IGN, though.
-
I recommend anyone who is interested to watch ACGs review. It's 15 min long but he goes really in depth with it

They're saving all of their 9/10 ratings for when Activision pays them to rate Infinite Warfare.
-
6/10"too much water"

1 ReplyIGN Idiots Gaming News Their reviews are completely biased towards shooters dude. They gave advanced warfare a 9.1 and said it was innovative while they give games like alien isolation a 5.9 because the alien isn't stupid and easy to get around.

13 RepliesEdited by Cinders-Shadow: 6/28/2016 2:42:01 PMA lot of players don't like difficult games. Look at the soups franchise, people write off the game immiedietly because you can't hacknslash your way through it like a devil may cry game. Then cry about no story. I'm not saying souls has the best story or anything, just saying that ppl will write off a game instantly. So if the reviewer is a gamer who prefers a laid back easy game, say like the witcher, then there's a chance (not definitive) that he will hate the technomancer. Edit* Nope I'm keeping it soups. That's perfect. That's exactly what I meant

Watched some gameplay on Outside Xbox. Looks slow and clunky. I'll give it a rent but not impressed by what I've seen so far.
-
Cause it's horrible

1 ReplyI haven't played the game, but I understood what he meant by saying "too difficult." He even said he didn't mean it in the sense of Dark Souls. He was essentially saying its "artificially difficult." Meaning instead of punishing you for mistakes or having difficult game mechanics to overcome, they just throw a lot of enemies at you at once with high health and high damage.

3 RepliesWho cares about ign. I loving it.

1 ReplySaw plenty of ads for that game online but multiple vids of gameplay i saw it looked really clunky... didnt plan on getting it. Reguardless of ign i still dont think i will
