IRON BANNER DELAYED - SUCKS FOR ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE US!!
Morning guys,
So on the day of the promised event, after a weeks delay, Bungie have announced that they will be hard at work fixing an issue between the hours of 11am EST and 6pm EST. The knocks out playing time for the UK especially.
The event has been delayed by a week, surely the issue should have been sorted by now?!?! Bungie have been utter useless over the last few weeks and they don't apologise or communicate properly.

Some have made comments like "I'm hoping most people actually have a job and contribute to society rather." and "its like this is the only game you have to play, or even the only thing in your lives period."
I don't get a lot of spare time, my life is pretty busy so as a result it is the only game I play and I have to plan an evening of gaming in advance. So when this happens, it is frustrating.

Since EVERYONE outside the US works exactly the same schedule and lives in exactly the same time zone, yeah I guess it does suck. Because, you know, there are only two time zones on the entire planet. US time and the rest of the world time. Oh yeah ..and everybody in the US goes to work and home at exactly the same time too. There are no different work shifts.

never plan to play the first day - no xp buff, etc... just pick up the bounties each day but wait till at least Sat to do any of them

And dont give me the BS about having 6 more days,some only play ib for fun and for some its the only pvp we play,we dont all have countless hrs to spend on a game,some of us work and have familys.....so missing a day to grind and level up is a joke. For those who are gonna say git gud then please go back to school and learn other words to add to your vocabulary. Fact they are doing this on reset day is a joke and fact is they are never back up when they say they will be.

1 ReplyI live in the UK. I work from 3:30 PM to midnight. So for me this maintenance time is perfect. Seriously though, no matter what time they do a maintenance, it'll be prime time for someone's gaming. Because you know, time zones. Crying about it won't solve anything. They'll always have maintenance based around their team work hours along with their main player base hours (which is US players).

I feel bad for most of the people outside of the US, with a big gap in time and sometimes prices. Especially with the UK getting the bad end of the stick with TTK's price.

Losing a few hours of Iron Banner on day 1 makes no difference.

1 ReplyThat means it comes at 7am for me that works for me. Quit your complaining u could get all 3 characters done on the last day with no problem. It not like they said oh let's -blam!- the UK they had to do this to fix things prior to iron banner.

Lol, I wouldn't bet on it showing up at all. Last time they did maintenance it took twice as long as promised and took the whole game offline for most of the following day. Since then they've cancelled trials and Iron Banner, and crucible matchmaking has been dogshit, so if thats anything to go by this maintenance will finally break the game once and for all.

It doesn't matter what time any game developer does maintenance it will effect millions of gamers. And besides: My wife misses the 1st day every IB because she works 3rd shift and it starts when she lays down to go to sleep and she still gets to rank 5 on all 3 characters on Sunday with the majority of her reputation being bounty turn ins, playing 2 hours a day and most of the time IB weekend falls on her weekend to work so she only gets 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday. That is rank 5 on 3 characters in 10 hours due to smart time management on when to play what characters to get the most reputation gain with the daily buff increases and characters being behind buff increases.She doesn't even have to play on the last day which gives the highest rep. Another excuse please.

It annoys me as well mate, however I told the missus i'd spend the evening with her instead of going online (Tuesday is normally gaming night).... brownie points and she'll never know... I remember when maintenance was done by 8pm... oh well i'll just jump on and grab bounties tomorrow morning.

Do you realize not everyone in the us works 1st shift. So your argument makes no sense. I work second shift and i usually play in the afternoon. So i got screwed to. Stop being so self centered.
