I'm usually a zone capper... one of the best. I took this morning and decided to play like 90% of the other players and just worry about K/D without having a single care or concern about zones.
Well... I lost 12 out of 15 games. This just goes to show you people how valuable a capping player can be. My K/D was phenomenal... but we lost almost every game.
If only players played the objective and stopped being such ego douches, perhaps the feeling of victory may come by more often.
Hard proof now that I carry most of my games when I'm aggressively capping.
You're welcome

2 RepliesThere's still people who believe that capping 4 zones whilst dying 20 times in a game is helpful? Ummm, thanks?
-
1 ReplyTry playing a salvage match with people who play it like a skrimish match. It's infuriating when you're the only one playing the objective and have no choice but to turn it into a skrimish.
-
Yeah if people just want to kill play clash or a game mode that doesn't require any other objective but killing.
-
4 RepliesIll go for the zones when i can. Its not worth my life to cap a zone though, if i stay alive i feel as if im helping my team more
-
-
i feel you. most of the time when i play control, its as if im the only one whos grabbing zones and usually end up having the most amount of captures. it sucks when others dont follow objectives and just rush/agro. those types of players need to go back to cod or switch to overwatch
-
I'm top 1% in capping and neutralizing...get it breh.
-
My life in crucible for 2 years...top 1% in offensive and defensive kills (taking a control point), crap for k/d

1 ReplyYea ok the proof were it at? And i seen it my self that you can cap two zones and still not win the game. Both are important it not domination or as destiny calls it "zone control" In which case yes flags are the most important. But if your not killing you ain't winning in control but ALMOST viva visa in caping points. As i seen many times that 1 cap + Slaying = Winning game. But i guess both our research have opposing results i wonder if it by pure bias or real results?

1 ReplyI think the best team is the one that has around 4 objective players and 2 "slayers." The cappers (objective players) would hold the 2 points, while the slayers handled most of your kills. Like an offense/defense, with defense being the key. The problem with 6 players just deciding to switch to the "SCREW OBJECTIVES" strategy is that it doesn't use the control point bonuses (obviously), and that if you suck (no offense), you're handing the other team points if you can't get kills yourself. Props to players who actually play objectives. You're the guys we need but never appreciate.

2 RepliesI don't cap the zones, I push forward and defend the people capping the zones
-
3 RepliesAnd......here's the problem. Saying you are a cap monster, the game mode is not called 'how many zones can you cap' it's called 'control'. Capture 2 zones and CONTROL them. Simple strategy, my buddies and I would play Iron Banner this way and were very successful. Talk's about playing the game mode the way it's supposed to be, but yet doesn't control the zone he captures. But, if you're a player who plays solo a lot then I see the need for the constant rotation of zone captures.

9 RepliesControls my favorite and I'm just like you. I cap a lot. So much in fact that I have a .99 win/loss ratio. If someone's up on top of the board with me and they have zero caps, reported for inactivity and unhelpfulness.
-
This is true about rift too
-
There's other positions besides obj. You need slayers to get the obj or you'll get overwhelmed every time. That's why you have a team.
-
I agree, you gotta capture the zones otherwise you should be playing clash.

1 ReplyEdited by SquidGuy: 6/23/2016 11:30:10 PMHahaha, I love how you don't have your account linked so we can't look it up. I don't believe you. And this is coming from a guy who captures a shitload of zones.

10 RepliesYou're not the dude that flips A on shores of time, are you?

Well said

Normally I focus on zones almost exclusively, but it really depends on the team I'm playing with and whether or not it's with friends or the blueberry brigade. My friends and I can coordinate our efforts, but blueberries vary from game to game. Sometimes I can spend the whole game dropping bodies, others(most of the time) I feel like I'm the only one even trying to cap a zone.
-
Funny how your account isn't linked lol
-
I'm number 106 in the world in zones captured, number 254 in zones neutralized, and I . . . well, I lose a lot.
-
1 ReplyWhat if you do both?!
-
I move in between Destiny, Rainbow Six Siege, and soon to be No Man's Sky. Rainbow Six Siege teaches you and grinds into your brain that the hostage/bombs/local biohazard container comes first and not kills. Or you lose. This is what I wish destiny crucible was, more objective based.
-
You sir are not the only die hard capper. That's my priority in control. Always keeping 2 flags, can't get B? Fine, I'm taking their flag then. I'll take the third any chance I get.

Some of us cap, others kill. Works best if u have both on ur team
