Something interesting just happened in Crucible...
I'm usually a zone capper... one of the best. I took this morning and decided to play like 90% of the other players and just worry about K/D without having a single care or concern about zones.
Well... I lost 12 out of 15 games. This just goes to show you people how valuable a capping player can be. My K/D was phenomenal... but we lost almost every game.
If only players played the objective and stopped being such ego douches, perhaps the feeling of victory may come by more often.
Hard proof now that I carry most of my games when I'm aggressively capping.

3 RepliesI am sick of losing control games having control over 2 of the zones for over 90% of the game. Unfortunately, capping zones is not important in control as you might think, I have lost so many games just because my team mates were being constantly killed by the enemy team. If you are playing control just to control zones you are not doing it right. There is a balance between capping zones and killing enemies.

You see, the issue is that that playlist is basically team deathmatch with option objectives. Or clash with optional objectives. When the objective is shoot whatever moves in front of your boomstick, no one thinks tactically. [spoiler]Or at least a majority don't.[/spoiler]

Most of my games end up in losses because my team will lead and all of a sudden just stop playing.

It's a Defend/Attack game mode. There needs to be a balance between the two in order to achieve victory.

And that is why I don't play control I play clash, I want to bump up my kd and not be constantly yelling at my idiotic team members to capture zones.

To me, I don't like seeing a player with a ton of caps, that just means that we couldn't keep control of the zones properly which is the object of the game. Just because someone has a high k/d and 0-1 caps des not mean they are not playing the objective, they are probably playing the objective better than you are.

1 ReplyWell, you can go ahead and stand there like a sitting duck, squatting over the Zone, while I'm over here ripping people new asses just to keep you protected. You can't win a Crucible match if you don't have a mixture of those types of players.

5 RepliesIf you run straight to b and don't let the enemy cap anything but their spawn, than you literally don't need to have but that one whole cap. You'll win every single time, and you'll be mvp for CONTROLLING your area, successfully fighting off attempts from the opposing team, and not spawn flipping every 2 minutes when y'all already have the advantage.

K/D shouldn't really matter as much as it does. Win percentage should factor into K/D as well when looking for team maters.

I'm not a capper, but I don't go for general kills. I usually help push for zones and/or defend ones we already own. What I really hate though are people that go only for caps and keep flipping spawns, there is a balance between capping and defending that when achieved always spells victory.

Its control not capture its enough when u have A and B zone. How do you control these zones? -u r killing enemies near the zone...
