NOTE: Please read the edits, they have important information. Especially Edit 3.
When a person reaches the age of 18, they acquire the maturity "gene"-something that, obviously, children lack.
The fee should be $10-children on an T rated game are an absolute nuisance-they're always bugging you around and assume that they're "funny" or "cool".
Then again, there are the 12 year olds who claim that they are, in fact, mature. However, this is impossible. I have yet to observe a child that lacked maniacal behavior.
So, Bungie, I ask that you place a fee so these crackheads won't intoxicate Destiny.
EDIT 1: It's absolutely amazing to see the children claim that they're better than adults.
EDIT 2: Woah, calm down, people. I know this may be a little triggering to some of you, but if you're trying to prove that people under the age of 18 are mature, than at least act like it.
EDIT 3: It's not the idea that it's M rated (which it isn't), it's the idea that everyone under the age of 18 isn't mature-just a nuisance.
EDIT 4: "Every kid on these games who is middle school aged has always:
Had an annoying voice
Made idiotic comments thinking there are funny
Act superior to everyone else in the raid
Say they are a master of everything yet make obvious mistakes
Consistently use words like 'pussy', '-blam!-', and other words just to 'sound cool'
Don't take anything seriously
Are all in all annoying and a nuisance"
EDIT 5: Some people have been asking, "How would you be able to identify the player as a child?" Well, for one, we can use what age they put into their account. But of course, many people lie about their age, so we can also use voice samples to identify them as a child. The best method is by far using the Kinect camera (And whatever PlayStation uses) to see the player.

So funny.

Edited by Gandhi 2: 6/23/2016 1:53:22 AMI don't think a fee is a good idea. I'd suggest that younger players play with younger players.
-
That's great for you, I've played with squeakers like you describe. But I've also met some pretty great people under 18. Look for darkness, and it is all you will ever see.
-
Nah, they just shouldn't be allowed a headset.
-
1 Reply18 and up are immature as hell too. You change a lot in your early 20's (typically)
-
5 RepliesI don't know about a fee but some way to separate children from 18+ years olds( not adults because some 18+ people are and act like children).
-
Hey I'm 17 and I can assure you that I am just as mature as anyone while playing the game. I agree with you that squeakers shouldn't play the game at all but maybe 15 or 16 years or higher
-
You can't be serious with this, bungie would never allow this because it's just stupid the teen rating is a recommended
-
Longface is greatly missed. Such a bright shooting star.

1 ReplyHow very stereotypical

Me being a 14 would say just kick out any one who hasn't gone through the voice crack part of pb because they won't shut up and they are freaking annoying.
-
Replace 18 with 30 then 12 with 18, and I feel the exact same way. Not to hurt anyone's feelings, but 18 yr olds are still children in my eyes. Suppose it's all about perspective...

Get off my porch.

Edited by Cryrogenyk: 6/22/2016 4:48:40 AMI sound like an adult so audio samples won't work. I get angry like adults. I play to win like adults. When I'm with friends I'm immature, but to others, I'm really polite and understanding. Edit: With friends in a Xbox Live party, not in gane chat. Never in game chat...
Argument Invalid?
2 RepliesThat is 1. Dumb 2. Basically illegal 1. It's rated teen so wouldn't it make more sense for this tax to be put on kids under 13? Also you pay to get the game in the first place and it's not like your preventing and whiny teen from playing just by making it more expensive. 2. Age is one of the undiscrimenitory groups. In the same way I can't legally make a woman pay more for a game I can't make someone younger pay more for a game.
-
The only person that would be annoying if you met me would be my 11 year old brother using my account.
-
2 RepliesIf it's T-rated and I'm 16, I'm allowed to play.

1 ReplyMay have already been said, but how about adding age range to LFG and matchmaking?

Edited by Fhey: 6/22/2016 3:37:53 AMThis is a very interested argument. I'm a 15 year old female who pretty much plays solo. Sometimes I play with my 12 year old brother and his friends, but they can be downright annoying. Hearing penis jokes and giggling at words like "poop" gets old really fast. But for me, that isn't the most agrivating thing. The thing I hate the most is their apparent need to remind everyone that they are the best. The people I tend to join on LFG aren't much better either. I've honestly given up on LFG and spend my time aimlessly on patrol. It's shocking how young most people on destiny are. I imagine the T rating as 13-15+ depending on the game. Seeing a bunch of 12 year olds reminds me how irrelevant ESRB ratings are these days. Anyways, an 18+ filter sounds like a decent idea for the adults. After a long day of work / family, the last thing you must want to hear are 8 year olds trying to tell you what to do, haha. Couldn't agree more, I hate dealing with bratty little s*** when I'm trying to have fun
-
Such a ridiculous idea, there a no way of telling how old someone is in this game unless you go into the in-game voice chat and NO ONE does, not only that but it's a complete rip off and so greedy, everyone should be allowed to play a game as wonderful as this one
-
Wow. You know you don't have to talk to squeakers if you don't want to. There is a mute button on every player waiting to be pressed by you
-
It's called a dlc
