I don't make threads often, but I felt compelled to make this one. No longer being able to stick people with a tripmine grenade sucks. Were people complaining about it that much? It was the one grenade that actually took some skill to get a stick with. The other grenades that can stick to players have some degree of magnetism to them, but not the tripmine.
Really poor move on Bungie's part.
R.I.P. Tripmines

Not one bit. Neither were the bladedancer grenade nerf
-
2 RepliesSticky tripmines was too much of a easy kill no lie
-
1 ReplyNext they be complaining about fusion grenades sticking to ya, -blam!-ing game use to be fun before all you crybabies started playing, and complaining about everything
-
2 RepliesIf they're supposed to be a trap then maybe the time delay should be reduced. Not that it matters they light the world up for all to see them. They don't work in PVE either because the enemy just goes around or waits until they self detonate. Makes attachable grenade bounties suck that much more. Besides while the stick did get me kills I would frequently kill myself with the target so it was definitely a risk/reward option. If you want a trap grenade it should have less trigger delay, more loiter time, and be harder to spot.

4 RepliesEveryone else needs to stop whining about hunters being over powered, we are not, we were doing just fine until people started complaining now hunters can't even have fun anymore thanks to those wuss bag whiner babies!
-
1 ReplyOnly part of the whole update that made me cry. Only actual reasoning to nerf that would b the fact that in trials you can stick a player on his res and he dies before he can move (easier than res-snipe, and u are free to shoot earlier)
-
2 RepliesTbh, bro. Who complains about getting throwing knifed either? No one.
-
-
Is removing your ability to bitch and whine necessary?
I vote yes on both counts.
7 RepliesI barely ever play hunter and nerfing trip mine is retarded. The logic it can still stick to walls and ceilings and not guardians is retarded. Unless there was a secret perk added that drenches your guardian in lube. The nerf is retarded.
-
Wasn't necessary, but I could see why it would be classified as OP. You're getting a sticky and trip mine in one grenade. If anything, they should get rid of the sticky, and leave the damage alone.
-
9 RepliesEdited by JHarv: 6/14/2016 5:43:11 PMIt's kinda dumb, because it doesn't lock on to a target. If you have good aim, it should be rewarded. The last thing we need is more flux/fusion grenade users.....
-
Is this true in PVE as well? :(
-
Bad play on bunnies part

36 RepliesEdited by Kenshi: 6/14/2016 6:50:10 PMWarlock Has a One hit Grenade Titan has a one hit grenade But for hunters its apparently unacceptable *Edit* This case is now closed, i didnt know that Flux grenades are better now (Havent used Bladedancer in a long time since the first nerf, and i havent tried it out because i didnt feel that an improved Flux grenade justified the use of the nerfed subclass, My bad) And Incendiary grenades are a 1 shot if you do manage to get the bouncy grenade to land perfectly on the center of the target (Dont know about you guys, but my grenades bounce to far from the target so it doesnt kill them quick enough so i mow them down with my primary. Thanks to that one guy that can actually have a reasonable argument. Evening Guardians

2 RepliesDunno why it was removed, other than they said it wasn't intended to be a sticky, but a trap. Doesn't really explain how it went 2 years unchecked...except that the exotic gloves prob exacerbated a perception that they gave an unfair advantage. High use and conforming to a specific tactic is almost certain to force changes that remove that tactic as the go-to. Sad really, as some of the changes are a surprise. Others are easy to understand.
-
12 RepliesI main a warlock and it wasn't necessary. How are you gonna say that a trip mine sticks to a wall but not the a ribcage or a titan chestplate
-
You should know they nerf even when no one complains. Remember, they want you to play the game THEIR way.
-
2 RepliesYes. Its a trap grande. You need to place it smartly and not relying on luck.
-
3 RepliesJust played a game with the new patch. I threw a tripmine on someone and it started bouncing like crazy on his back and it one shotted him lol. Tripmines don't kill anyone anymore. Got one kill with a tripmine that entire game. They get hurt by your tripmine and run away. Throwing knife is unreliable. I thought I did enough damage to one shot him but my knife left him with a tiny bit of health. Then he ran away to the safety of his team...
-
Trip mines have been useless if they didn't stick, even shaxx can see that stupid flashing red line from the tower, the fact that they set "traps" is stupid cause they don't. If you get lucky and set one as you're shooting someone and they go the way of the grenade then you could maybe get a kill but if a STICKY grenade can't STICK to guardians seems pointless to use them
-
Dude, don't waste your time asking Bungie, the came up with the idea: Weapon works, must be broken, change it'!
-
It really wasnt. They werent op they were fun. Hell i killed myself half the time i used them but they were fun and now they arent. Why would they make their game less fun to play i cant understand

14 RepliesEdited by Artemis007: 6/14/2016 4:38:47 PMNecessary?! Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine? No! But I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste! No but seriously this nerf came out of nowhere. Tripmines and knives take quite a bit of skill to use so this is completely unwarranted. Smh at bungie.
