This is great news for the game coming into Year 3!
In doing this, Bungie has free'd themselves from last gen hardware and is able to deliver great content going into Year 3.
This means more, wait for it 'Vault Space' Possible custom matches etc, character recreation, amazing polished graphics, possible weather patterns in pve and pvp, being able to add live events with a breeze and being able to add in content dlc or content for Year 3 without last gen holding us back.
Year 3 is shaping up to be an awesome year.
Again sorry last gen but it had to be done.
I own a PS4 since year 1 so I'm good.

7 RepliesWhile its true that dropping last gen is an amazing idea, half of the stuff you mentioned (weather effects in patrol areas) wont happen in this game. Possibly in destiny 2, but adding all of that for a game that is going into its (possibly) last year seems a bit like a waste for me. Maybe if they decide to drop last gen for destiny 2 aswell, all of what you said they could do will happen. But adding a whole set of different weather effects, animations and etc doesnt seem very plausible right now. Maybe in D2. Hopefully. Pray. plz.

Edited by RGB ASTR0: 6/9/2016 9:53:48 PMBungie may have been restrained due to last gen consoles but regardless they didn't really have the content to fill in for just current gen anyways. Maybe now they have enough content and boot swings to fill the glass for current gen.
