Advice: DON'T PRE ORDER RISE OF IRON
I know they are offering a y3 ghorn. But they are just trying to milk money away from everyone. Again. Also this ghorn should be for everyone, not just pre order.
Remember when everyone pre ordered destiny and they cut out content because they made all the money they needed? Yeah I remember that too. Remember when everyone pre-ordered the expansion pass and they cut content again and what was promised in the game? Yeah I remember too. Remember when everyone pre ordered ttk and they still haven't released half the exotics they advertised? Yeah I remember that too. That's the big deal. When bungie sees they made their money back they cut content.
I hope the community has learned their lesson from bungies history.
Edit: for all you people saying "don't tell me how to spend my money" you're either not reading the actual post or you're literally indoctrinated by bungie. I have never seen someone promise so many things and then fall short everytime and people still believe them. It's amazing.

So far in hearing 3 arguments:
1) don't tell me what to do with my money. Okay, fair enough, but you ought to think about my point rather than just react, because bungie has a history of under delivering and it's going to happen again if you guys aren't careful.
2) I'm going to get it might as well pre order. I encourage you to wait until the last night, before they can cut out content again.
3)that people say they spend enough time to make it worth the money. Yes I agree. My only issue is with false advertising and cut content. [/spoiler]

If you have to pay for the expansion anyway why does it matter if someone's preorders it just getting there money sooner and giving us something for doing so... There's no extra cost involved with preordering... Same price more stuff.. Now the real problem is to get the shit after your preorder

I pre-ordered for the G.Horn and I have it in my inventory but it says it requires a Year 3 Gjallarhorn so....what's in my inventory? Tried buying one out of the Kiosk like any other exotic but can't equip that either...

Lol, I have a Gjallarhorn in my inventory but I can't equip it. So I bought one out of the exotics kiosk at 320Light and can't equip that either. I think I'll just take that refund now. Back to WoW Legion!

1 ReplyWhile binge has had a bad history of making promises they can't keep, the preorder incentives (iron gjallarhorn and gjallarwing sparrow) have already been installed on the console immediately after the preorder. (That is if you preordered on the console, not from Game Stop). So even if the items weren't to show up in your inventory or postmaster, bungie would be able to detect who has access to the items easier, and they will be able to give the items to those who have preordered.

You can uptain ghorn by doing a quest. So We all get it. No point to pre order. But hey if ppl want to get the black version and have money to spend why stop them? Its a game relax n have fun.

Problem is, no matter how many people you tell on here, it doesn't matter. You have to consider the amount of people who play destiny who don't use the forums, and don't care what your saying. I GET why your saying it. For long term benefits to the game, but you have to remember too... bungie is a company making games, they don't HAVE to make anything. They chose to make destiny and to sell it how they want, just like you would with your own product it you could do it. I take destiny for what it is. One of my favorite games to come out that's managed to keep me playing over the last 2 and half years now. I enjoy the type of game it is, the design, the premise, and the all around lore(which is the only thing I wish had more in depth in the game). But as a total for a game and as much people say "destiny sucks". Guess what, the game clearly doesn't suck with the amount of players it has, and with the fact that players keep coming back to it. I even see posts on the forums of people who used to talk smack making topics like "ive been away for a while, is it too late to come back?" Dude, you never really left, you took a break, because destiny is ADDICTING and GOOD. Bungie still cares enough to push content for it to keep the franchise going. We knew they said a 10 year timeline for the game, but that's give or take. We are on year 3 just about, so that speaks for the game alone. Everyone will pre-order it. Whether they are on these forums or not. The gjally is great incentive, but I wish that the year 1 players were actually granted IT or something like it to show how legendary they are. People don't feel like legend because everyone is the same, and nothing can set people apart because everyone can get everything EASILY. Hopefully year 3 can give us year 1 players something yo actually show we are legend on the battlefield and what weve gone through since day one. And hopefully with that, we can assist all of the new people to enjoy destiny for what it is too. Here's to year 3!

Dude, all I know is that between me, my wife and my two kids we've enjoyed days and days of this game. I'll gladly stump up another $30/£25 to preorder Rise of Iron, couldn't give a shit about a black gjallarhorn... I'm preordering because of you and all the other cut-content screaming babies like you. Whether it's cut-content or not, it's still a hugely entertaining game and I defy you to name another game that's given people as many hours playtime for their money....
