Huge destiny fan/player here, but idk man, Bungie really has to make some awesome additions in order for me to fork up some more $$$
I'm looking forward to seeing what Rise of Iron holds, but I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Edit: did not expect this to pick up a lot of chatter! I'm really glad to see all of these conversations have been grounded and not trolly. I thank you for that. I'll be responding back to most of ya when I get back!
Edit #2 After the Stream: Alright, what they showed seems pretty neat. I'm interested to see the crucible side of things. Also that Hammer looks cool, but too bad it's not a Heavy Weapon.

I'm pumped for it. Hope they bring some cool new PvP modes

1 ReplyI'm at the point where I don't want year 1 raids or more weapons to be pushed forward and I don't really care for more content to be added currently. I'd like the issues with the game since release to now be fixed before moving forward. Its become annoying each time content is added there's still unresolved issues with more occurring that we're still dealing with today.

A single visit to BK costs me more than a DLC....
-
If y1 raids and y2 raids are not brought up to y3, I will be hanging up my ghost.
-
I'm hesitant because I don't think I want to spend $30-40 on a DLC that I'll personally only play less than a month... Because once BATTLEFIELD 1 comes out, I don't see myself playing much Destiny if any.
-
1 ReplyI spend money on stupid shit all the time nbd
-
Destiny 2 will kill Destiny
-
I was hesitant spending £40 on TTK, but the vast improvement on content and storytelling made it worthwhile. If Rise of Iron is the same price as TTK then I will have faith in bungie in producing another TTK level product
-
1 ReplyI will wait until it is on sale for 5 dollars. I am done giving Bungie full price.
-
Im not really even that interested to be honest, I still play the game even though I hated ttk if I thought they are capable of putting out good content I'd gladly pay, but I don't think they are I'd actually pay for dedicated servers and banning cheaters rather than pay for subpar content
-
Sure, I'll throw $40 st them so my last 1000 hours wasn't for nothing
-
1 ReplyNot hesitant but cautiously against overhype. Some people hype themselves up to the point where nothing is going to satisfy them. Just look around these forums. It has begun!!
-
TBH I'm not even that interested in the content. Theu destroyed our -blam!-ing wall. I'm going to rebuild it out or their bones.
-
Me. There hasn't been much "new" content. Even the Dreadnaught was originally slated for release, almost everything has been new missions in old areas.

3 RepliesI don't know. I look at this game an I se evolution, I look at what we know about Rise of Iron and I see potential. When I look at a game like Call of Duty, a franchise I have been playing since I was 12, and I see a well refined machine designed to make as much money as they can. I get you have concerns, I think everyone does; it's no doubt going to be the price of a full release and people are sceptical about spending that money on a game they've played for two years and had such highs and lows about. Keep your head up, we've a long way to go.
-
Unless there is one last expansion between Rise of Iron and Destiny II, this will be the deciding factor in whether or not I buy the sequel at launch or play 'Wait and See'/wait for the price to drop. Goodwill from my love of Halo spurred me to unquestioningly buy the first game. I've come to know in the years since what transpired to make the game disappoint me. I'm skeptical, but I have faith they won't make the same grave mistakes two games in a row. All that said, from what I've gathered from leaks and from retrospective on the amount of time-to-dollars I've gotten from what I've bought so far, I'm confident I'll put enough time into Rise to make its likely $30USD tag worth it. Also, the fact that signs point to it being Eighth-Gen only gives me a little hope.

At this point? Just about every one, honestly. One of the few things a lot of our community can agree on.
-
I honestly dont care about it, ill watch and see what is to come but Im not hyped, im barely interested. There are way to many persisting issues with the game right now that need addressing, there also needs to be some sort of content in between now and september to even keep me hanging around as prison of elders is never going to do that, it got stale after the first week. Ill patiently wait, but i doubt i will be back once no mans sky is released in august.
-
I wouldn't expect anything too amazing till the final expansion or destiny 2.
-
3 RepliesIt better be free... thats what Eververse was for right? Or that just another lie and reason to not spend money on it?
-
People on a budget.
-
Shrug. They're getting my money.
-
Let's not all talk pish, we'll buy it, love it then hate it. Rinse and repeat guardians :D
-
7 RepliesIf it is 20 dollars or less i will buy it. Anything more? Ha. -blam!- that. If it were free that would be fucing great. Chances of that though? 0%.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Grim: 6/8/2016 9:47:50 PMI like what it has to offer but I'm not looking to spend any money on it.
ORIGINAL: It better be free.
1 ReplySame here. I've enjoyed Destiny so far, but never felt that I got what I payed for. TTK was close... that was the feel I wanted, but it was to short. I look at TTK and see it as a mission statement, an indication of which dirrection they want to take destiny. It's the dirrection I want to see destiny go in, but there's going to have to be more than 30 minutes of new story content for me to justify spending half the price of a new game on it. This story needs to get underway to keep my attention.
