just make it like diablo. diablo 2-/lord of destruction is a different game from diablo 3
-
Make everyone choose one piece of gear per slot per character lol

Edited by Monerdon: 6/7/2016 8:15:09 PMI'd like to keep my characters, yes, but if I am not able to... There must be a better character customization, and there better be some really good explanation on why we can't use our old characters(the vex maybe?) And if our old characters die there better some armor telling us about the guardians that killed Kells,Hive and Vex gods
-
1 ReplyCarry over characters: Yes (ofcourse without limiting the character) Carry over stats and lightlevel: No Get something for being a loyal Destiny player: Yes

How would any type of complete reset work? The storylines they have now are not complete and lot left to be done. Unless we go back or fed up in time but that would make little sense as they would have to come back to current time after we did what ever we did in the past. So would we then have to restart our current present self after we leap back? And any huge event like that needs to be built up in some way like would the cabal finally attack slaughtering all. This would wipe out factions and other things, but as they are closing in the last few guardians use vex teck to travel back and warn the past legends of the cabal and be. Enter prepared for them
-
I love my characters and don't want to see them go, however, as I have become better at crucible over the past year. And whenever I want to play trials on lfg, my stats don't help. I would love to be able to restart my stats
-
No because I'm hoping Destiny 2 will have better character customization
-
As much as I'd hate to redo the grind, I'd really like to see fresh new stuff in destiny 2, I don't want destiny 1 gear or weapons to be relevant. Yes we all grinded our asses off for all that shit but wouldn't it be refreshing for something new? New gear, new weapons, maybe even new guardians with new subclasses. Surely they can figure out a way to incorporate new classes/gear into to the close to non existing storyline .

Edited by Moxxis Playtoy: 6/7/2016 7:36:33 PMThey said something close to it would but with the things recently being said and done you cant really trust anything. It's like going to watch hentai or "naughty stuff", you have a 50% of getting a virus if your trying to watch it online.

5 RepliesNew characters, either years before or after the reign of our guardian. I want to see the destiny universe unfold fully, and if we keep the same guardian for ten years that is a lot of lore potential from future events lost.
-
1 ReplyDidn't they already say this would be a thing?

Important account info like grimoire, yes. Exotics obtained/unlocked, yes at kiosk, yes. Likewise for emblems, shaders, etc. My actual character itself, not so much. I don't mind beginning from scratch again ( especially in a brand new game ) as long as Destiny acknowledges that invested 2+ years into the original. It should be noted that I want to re-edit my characters so I'm not really all that attached to how my Guardians look.
-
I started over at TTK release and it's not too bad. Sure, you miss your exotics, armor and weapons, but you get over it and get some back. I'd be fine with an entirely new universe and experience. Buying a new game but keeping stuff from an old game is just like a bigger, better dlc, not a new game
-
This isn't lore
-
I'd also like to see the Lore tag hidden again, but it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon.
-
I don't have any of my original characters, so it really wouldn't matter to me.
-
CARRYING OVER IS NOT CONFIRMED! Bungie said at (I believe) the beginning of year one that they would like to carry your character over to the next game.
-
If they don't, I don't. Simple choice really.
-
15 RepliesThis is already something they've guaranteed from day 1. Your guardian will follow you not just to Destiny 2 but for the full 10 year life of the franchise.
-
To the ppl bitching about that bungie already stated that your guardian will remain with you, they said that all the gear you grinded for would still be relevant in the coming years. SO, THINK ABOUT IT!
-
It's already a given... not up for debate.
-
6 RepliesThey already said they will u dumb shit
-
Like in Mass Effect (excepto for ME3), Id like to have my history maybe even the loot, but well, that be starter gear for Destiny 2 anyway
-
3 RepliesHahaha you mean "if" destiny 2 ever comes ;-)
-
2 Repliesi think Bungie stated that you were able to "progress" your character for the 10 year plan if we have to start over, then that's not progressing. that's a completely new game. ~Youngblood73~

8 RepliesOne of the largest complaints about Destiny is lack of content due to being able to blow through DLCs inside a week. If you carry over your character and have the ability to be close to end game stuff right away, you'll be on the forums complaining about how bored you are and griping about the wait time on the DLC.
