Yeah, another post about random teammates while playing solo in IB, how many times have I gotten to B and blasted away 3 or more enemies and get killed by a 4th just to look around and see nobody -blam!-ing there. What are you doing? If my team was at B it would be 5 on 1 against the extra person who showed up, we would have captured B.
It's ridiculous, I just don't get it, I don't get these people, I'm not the best, but these people are getting .4 k/d while running off to god knows where to die. At lest be cannon fodder on B.
I don't get it, this isn't some new game mode, it's not complicated to understand.
It doesn't bother me to play a fair game and lose, but when I look around and see how hopeless it is, why am I even bothering, It's just simply not possible to win these games.
I'd love to know what is going through these peoples heads are they thinking "it doesn't matter if we lose, I'm just going to try and snipe for a couple games", do they think they're helping by watching some useless avenue?
What, someone help me understand what is going on in these broken peoples broken brains.

Me: "This guy's right, I should be charging into B first!" Me: *dies to wombo combo* My team *runs away to avoid wombo combo* Me: "Alright, time to liberate zone B!" Me*dies repeatedly to snipers, shotguns and multiple enemies using primary weapons* Me: "I have my golden gun! Chaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Me: *dies to FOH*

9 RepliesAND STOP LEAVING THE CAPTURE POINTS TO RUN ACROSS THE MAP TO TRY AND GET THE HEAVY THAT IS OBVIOUSLY ALREADY COVERED BY THE ENEMY. YOU'RE JUST GOING TO GET KILLED AND EVEN IF YOU DO GET THE HEAVY YOU'LL GET KILLED WITH IT BEFORE YOU GET ANY KILLS AND YOU'RE JUST BEING USELESS. There I got that out of my system. Have a great day everybody

At least you didn't get put on the same team as a party of 5 who were all using thorn in iron banner I watched them lose so many gun fights

1 ReplyDo yourself a favor and Copy n Save your post cuz next IB Control - you'll be having the same problem. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
1 ReplyDestiny and competitive can't go together. This is an elementary level shooter aimed at casual players. Play halo for a great competitive experience
-
During Control I always run to be immediately. If 5 people run to B and 1 person stays to capture your spawn point it will make the entire match much easier. Of course, I am always the only one running to B and usually get killed either once I capture it or just before when their entire enemy team shows up. Oddly enough, none of my teammates seem to have made it there by then.

1 ReplyExactly what I think half my games. I see the other team more or less organized and working together then look at my team and wonder where the heck did they all go. The enemy team is taking all 3 zones and I seemed to be the only one trying to recapture any of them. I look around and my team is no where to be found since they are hiding in some corner, only concerned with trying to pick off enemies, or who knows what but obviously not trying to control the zones. I usually end up dying alot in those matches since while I'm about the only one trying to recapture zones its 1 vs 4-5 so they end up retaking the zone and I'm respawning. Matches end with me at the bottom and the opposing team destroying use nearly 2 to 1 in score.

7 RepliesThe answer to your question is 0. Zero times have you gone straight to B and killed 3 enemy solo, and died by the 4th. You are full of it. Prove me wrong.
-
What I hate the most is when Im running over to B to help a teammate cap it, but then I get killed and the person on B runs off, to kill the person who killed me...when he hasn't even captured the point yet.
-
3 RepliesPantheon. The whole team runs to the special spawn and stops for Hardscope. I run to B...same situation.
-
I think part of the blame is down to the bounties which are on offer, none of them are objective based all usually to do with kills. that plus blueberries equals frustration
-
Edited by BMAN201ii: 6/1/2016 2:44:27 PMIt aint never gonna change..i dont kno the details on how teams r matched but in Destiny every game/team can playout/perform totally different from the previous. My take: when a loss is inevitable or no chemistry is expected, focus the best u can on solo play for ur own reasons (while still tending to the objective if possible).
-
I agree, now in control games I wait to see if someone else is going to go to B before I go. Been burned too many times. I don't see why people think u need 4 or 5 people to cap A.
-
Yeah. Playing IB solo is rough. Fireteam of 3 is usually needed to be competitive. If you're on ps4 add max_power_3k for next time. Always looking for pvp players.
-
Gotta do them bounties!

4 RepliesYou think you have had it bad? This weekend my hunter had roughly a 20 percent win rate. Just look at this game in particular http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/RUSSIAN2URDEATH/screenshot/4310781

Well, I'm no fan of the average blueberry myself, but if you want my opinion (which you do since you asked for it) you probably shouldn't be rushing B when 4 people are there and you can't communicate with your team. Just a thought.
-
they all probably ran to C, and wondered where the other guy was who ran off on his own and why he wasnt at C

I played solo IB, got all three characters to level 5 in a few hours on Monday. Didn't find it a problem or lose many matches. At least it didn't feel like a struggle anyway. Teams all taking zones, matches felt fast paced, got a really nice fusion rifle drop and had two matches drop me double exotics! Lol I must of been a lucky one this IB!
-
6 Repliesi run at the enemy team and shoot. i do not care about KD or stats. i do not care about living, dying, winning or losing. i just eat a three of coins and play a match for fun.
-
Its a well known fact that if you play Iron banner solo you are going to be put in with a bunch of scrubs who have no clue what so ever on how PvP game types work, they all come out looking to get easy high light level gear because they still havent completed hard raid and most likely never will.
-
Gave up playing objective anytime I play solo, running around and killing everything had a much higher success rate, nobody to challenge b if their all dead. Pulled a 10.25 K/d on the last day of banner.
-
7 RepliesHere's a novel concept; move with your team, keep your deaths down (and in doing so, feed the other team fewer points) and stop obsessing over B. The flags are point multipliers, it's hilarious to me how willingly people throw themselves at flags as though they're playing zone control. Oh, and please stop looking at the guy with 30 kills and 2 cap and thinking "oh he isn't playing the objective," you don't think he may have made it easier for you to cap? Do enough killing and you can afford to lose B from time to time.

Edited by The Dude: 6/1/2016 3:59:09 AMI had pretty good luck this month playing solo in Iron Banner it may have been the first time I completed the one weekly bounty (7 wins 13 games completed) where I actually got my 7 wins before my 13 completed games. I also usually just wait til Sunday Monday where I rank up fast as hell and I suppose not many full teams of 6 are still grinding at that point. Side note: did they increase the drop chance on the IB ships? I got both ships this week and I had never gotten 1 and I've played every IB but 1 or 2

13 RepliesYour Kd is terrible so I struggle to envision you killing 3 or more enemies.... ever
git gud
3 RepliesPeople who want to play for fun, its in the game its called pve
