Sick of ToM
I'm sick of people kicking or not letting you do raids if you don't have touch of malice and/or black spindle I've done the raids before so screw off

2 RepliesThose people kicking you... they aren't skilled... they aren't creative. Those weapons aren't necessary. If you have them, fine. If not, other stuff works. Having a high impact sniper, a good Machine Gun and a sturdy Scout will do you just fine. Bonus points (+1) for being a Titan or Hunter. (-.5) for being a Warlock.

I don't know your struggle I have 333 ToM and a 335 black spindle. I never get kicked from a raid.

You can join mine. I have it, but it's fun when I'm middle bubble titan on Oryx. Just constant suppression for Ogres and his chest. No need for everyone else to rock one.

2 RepliesSay you have it. If it is a fresh start just say you don't want to use those weapons for this area and will change. Then never talk about it again. That's what I did the first couple of times and now look at me. If they do catch you show them the facts on how you don't fail even though you don't use these weapons. That is what I did. Works a lot of the time.

When I used to raid. I never had to kick anyone. But my requirements were absolute madness since I always did thirty minute raids.

7 RepliesWhen I post for a raid group, I ask for ToM and sleeper. It's not a requirement though. I won't kick you if you don't have it. I just ask that you at least know what you are doing.

I dont have preference really...ToM and Spindle are nice and all but a high impact scout and sniper will do for my team...add me maybe we can joke around this week in a raid

1 ReplyThere are definatly certain weapons that excel in the KF Raid. TOM and Black Spindle are definatly two of them. TOM melts Oryx and Daughters. Black Spindle does MASSIVE damage to ALL Bosses. So sure it is always a good idea to have these weapons. However, if you can achieve success with other weapons, then it shouldn't matter. That being said, there are definatly weapons that should NOT be used in the raid, i.e. rocket launchers! I even heard that someone was using Lord of Wolves shotgun against Warpriest, he got booted, for good reason. IMHO, TOM not nexessary, but Black Spindle is.

1 ReplyBlack spindle is gash imo and only has a minor advantage over triple tap / casket mag 1KYS at Golgoroth. As someone posted below, ToM is very good at daughters and Oryx as Titan, no-one else needs to use ToM at oryx. As a warlock I'll use Tlaloc as I'm sitting on a charged self rez most of the time.

It's not RNG like the g-horn was in year 1, if the ToM and Black Spindle are the only things holding you back on lfg, then I'd say go get em'. Or Make your own LFG post and label it for: "no ToM or Spindle required"

We had one Titan who had to leave when we got to Oryx so someone made a LFM post. A Titan joined. He was about LL310-312 and didn't have ToM. Someone asked him if he had one and some higher light level gear. His reply was awesome. "No, but it's not going to be me dying." Oryx was dead a short time later.

Just say you have it and don't bother using it people don't really pay attention

So get the guns if it's limiting you. Stop complaining about it if you have the ability to dosomething to not have to deal with that.

Honestly they just want people like that to make it easier and because people want players that have an advantage over others (Example ToM can do more dps at Oryx than any other Weapon because of the perk increasing dmg by 2x and never lose health but at this time you only need 3 people with it)

If you already have 3+ people who have it then you should be fine with 1-3 people not having it.

I use ToM I one fight, sisters, unless I'm a Defender in the middle or runner on Oryx. Black Spindle is just as niche, I use it mainly on War Priest and Golgoroth I like that we don't have the god exotic like Gjallahorn was in y1.
