So we can disable a perk from a super for over a month but we can't disable Clown Cartrige to ensure we play Trials and Banner?

Eh. At least I can take a break from the Trials grind. I'm tired of nearly making it to the lighthouse, only to be slammed by an entire damned team where the damage tag keeps reading "Immune".

Bungie is in a really tough spot here. What if removing clown cartridge created another bug? But then again same could be said with taking their time and fixing it. But like I said it's a tough situation and we all aren't informed well about what's going on and how close they are to fixing it so let's not judge this right away

6 RepliesJust have trials and ban all the -blam!-s who use the exploit, which are cheaters by definition as they are gaining an unfair advantage over others. Just a week off, enough to make a point not to abuse exploits when they are found (because nobody is forcing you to use them!)

Just the ignorance of people on youtube telling people how to do it, can we just not try and break the game and play it how it was designed to be played. Like using weapons that very powerful in pvp i wanna see some more diversity, and cheese spots in strikes and raids You eventually get bored from cheating and i would prefer to be running around having s challenge than sitting in a corner sniping a boss

5 RepliesChanging a "3" to a "1" (i.e. turning off quiver) is probably a lot easier than removing a perk from one weapon class. Not trying to make excuses for Bungie here, but singling out rockets with the specific perk is probably going to take more than an afternoon.

Everyone keeps missing the fact that there is way more shit that's f'd up in PvP besides clown cartridge. The last month and a half has been a shitstorm

We played two quick games of Control last night, and both games, the other teams had heavy long before it "dropped". But they were also red-barring all game too..........

That was one bubble in one subclass. At that time I would bet most players didn't even have that class upgraded yet. This glitch can be done by anybody with a Kings fall weapon and a launcher with clown cartridge. Thats alot of different weapons and it would effect not only rocket launchers but also shotguns, snipers, and hand cannons. Just give them a few days to fix it. It's better to temporarily shut down the competitive endgame than let what we all know will go down happen. That and they could just make iron banner mayhem clash next week. That way we wouldn't even care if someone is using the glitch.

There is a distinct difference. Gothalion summed it up nicely, but essentially shadowshot could be hotfixed, while clown cartridge would need a client side patch, which requires more regulation and planning, which in turn requires more time.

It is not that simple. I am by no means an expert. But, they need to check for underlying bugs...simply deleting a perk will not solve the problem in this case.

You obviously don't know jack about coding. Even if it's totally commented out or modified it still has to be tested.

9 RepliesFor the people saying "oh just get rid of clown cartridge" that shouldn't be how it works. Bungie should try to actually fix the bug, rather than just remove it and take the easy route. I'd be easier to just remove it, that's true, but they can't just throw their problems under the rug and walk over it like that. Bungie should try and [i]fix[/i] the problem with [i]their[/i] game.
