Ace of Spades *Poll*
I don't see many people running with Ace of Spades, and I am curious why. I think it is a great weapon in PVE & PVP. What are your thoughts?
Help me out here. Please select an option and reply with your opinion.

I'm not saying it is the best weapon by any means. There are better options in both PVE and PVP, although not much better. All i'm saying is that it is a viable option and although i wouldn't expect to see it flood the meta, It does seem odd to me that it is so rarely used.

It's a freebie exotic weapon. Should it have been a legendary? Probably. That being said, it also has two of my favorite perks, Third Eye and Firefly, and it's tunable so that you can either mess with other players' shots, hit them from farther away, or have a hand cannon that handles like it's gliding on rails.

I don't have it, but I can just tell it would be a great (underrated) weapon to have.

I try too use it cos I like how it feels but it's just meh and always go back too scouts. For pve that is, not even tried it in pvp.

I have fun with it. I surprisingly do well with it in pvp.

1 ReplyHonestly it's an underwhelming gun. Just isn't enough unique about it to be fun. I mean it doesn't need to be game breaking or anything, just needs to have a compelling reason to use it. Should add in health regeneration if equipped when a super is popped or something. But to be brutally honest all the class specific weapons are underwhelming. Ever tried Fabian Strategy? JUNK. Tlaloc is OK I guess. Not my cup of tea when Hung Jury out classes it.

It's just one of those guns where it's a great hand canon, but it's no better than a legendary so why use up your exotic slot.

Before I restarted my hunter it's all I used for pve, however I sucked with it in pvp.

In year one there was a better weapon and that was legendary.

1 ReplyI use Ace of Spades from time to time. Since I'm mainly a PvE player Ace of Spades is a lot of fun, I can kill enemies with headshots, letting them explode and I don't even have to reload. But I kind of like The First Curse more than Ace of Spades because of the higher impact. I like guns that feel [b]powerful, strong[/b]. Ace of Spades isn't of those guns.

It's a waste of an Exotic. Its stats are average at best and its Exotic perk is pathetic.

I use it to mess around in patrol or strikes but if I'm doing something like a nightfall or Crucible I'll use Hawkmoon instead

4 RepliesI wish it had more range. I know it has rifled barrel, but the kick on that gun with rifled barrel on is a bit much.

I thought it was ok but I haven't wanted to play with it. For me, there are better exotic hand cannons, including the first curse in my opinion.

Out of all my handcannon kills, I have the most with Ace of Spades. I just fells nice

1 ReplyI'm loving that Hand Cannon. One of the best, next to Thorn. In fact, I have over 9,500 kills with it (over 35,000 with Thorn). If Bungie has decided to bring Thorn back in Y2 or even Y3, I'll be one happy-gamer. Thorn is king.

I love it, but I usually run with a Raze-Lighter since it shreds majors.

Lackluster exotic. I have legendaries better for pvp and first curse and hawkmoon are better in pve

I just don't get why bungie insists on putting mediocre middle tree perks on exotics. If it takes up the exotic slot make it worthwhile. It's exotic perks are pretty good but it should have rifled barrel and not reinforced. Most legendary handcannons can have better stats than this gun which is sad because it's such a beautiful gun
