Why i cant play a Strike the Normal way anymore?

Why is every F.... Kid Running thru the whole strike only to get as fast as possible to the Boss? i want to play a Shooter not a Running Simulator. since many New Players came,especially jung ones,there is no real teamwork anymore. the have full raidgear from carries but hide in almost every strike bossfights in cheese spots,Really? Is this whats Destiny become. I Report Minimum 10 Players a Day for Skipping all encounters in strikes and not helping the others in strikes and let them alone with all the stuff. When you want to FARM STRIKEs then do it with a fireteam but please leave us Puplic Matchmaking Strike Players alone. Because i cant even Play a Strike the way it is intended. I hope Bungie is programming Strikes in the Future the way where you have to kill all Enemies in the Area before you can go to the next section. And to the People who actually play the way its intented and Help you are the Best.

    • Yeah youre the guy on the echo strike who is still shooting enemies when weve already unlocked the boss room. Its not all about you dude. There are 2 others in your match made group that have wants and needs just like you. If both of them want to blast through it then either you follow along or leave.

      Just let them go. 8 time outta 10 they'll die along the way and each time they respawn they'll be teleported back to you. It's quite funny actually

    • The funny thing is that this post can also be the other way around. People that just want to run through strikes find [i]you[/i] unhelpful for being far behind in a fist fight with a vandal. And they want [i]you[/i] to get in a fireteam if you want to do the strikes "properly". There's no right way to do strikes, just preferences. So instead of being an a-hole and reporting people for playing a game the way they like to play it, find a fireteam to play with that fits your play style.

    • Couple of things; 1. Where's the official manual saying you're supposed to kill everything in strikes? So who are you to say how they were intended? 2. Loot-wise, speedrunning is more efficient. 3. If both of your teammates are ahead and you're behind playing peek-a-boo with a dreg, you're the one being unhelpful. 4. Certain parts on certain strikes are actually easier to sparrow or sprint through than to actually go through the adds. 5. Why don't you use LFG to find a group that fits your playstyle? 6. In the time you were on this forum you could have done number 5.

    • I wish i could get guys to run strikes as quickly as possible !!! I keep getting lumbered with guys who don't move from the start point of one area until it's time to move to the next area . . . or lazy b'stards as I refer to them. I get that people have real life to deal with but if I'm rushed, hurried or watching my kid I'm not stuck on a bloody games console. One guy kept waiting until I came back to see what he was doing (sweet FA) and then killed himself by firing a rocket launcher straight at a wall. I wouldn't mind but they invariably get the best drops, hilarious not so much.

    • If you just want to shoot crap you can play patrol. I'm not saying you have to sprint through, but it seems to me what sets strikes apart are three things: 1. The unskippable unique-but-usually-some-kind-of-wave encounters. 2. The boss. 3. Loot. So getting to/ through those things is the essence of a strike, not making sure every last dreg has been corn holed into oblivion. if your two teammates are up ahead killing things that NEED to be killed while you loll that along behind them, YOU are the one who is being unhelpful. Thankfully that's also a reporting category, and just because I read your cry-ass post, I'm going to start reporting you and your ilk thusly.

        Cry me a river. What strikes might you be talking about? Because from my experience half of the strikes force you to kill most of the enemies. I speed run, I am going to speed run and you can't do anything about it

          Why would I want to kill everything in a strike? Do they give good rewards? No So it's may aswell run through, get to the boss, kill him fast and repeat. You get the best shit and it's alot quicker I've run the strikes so many times its boring man

          • If you want to kill everything, that's fine. If you want to rush, that's fine. If you want to cheese your way through every activity, that's fine too. If you really, really want to do a strike a specific way, get a fire team, but don't ruin someone else's play through and report them because they're not doing it the way you want to. People will play games the way they want; there's no wrong way to do it, and reporting them or telling them otherwise isn't going to change that. If Bungie makes an encounter skippable, they made that choice knowing that some people would skip it. If they don't want people skipping an encounter, they'll make sure you can't.

              Venus sort of does look like the Emerald Zone from Sonic now that you mention it. I'm mixed feelings on the matter because I understand some reasons why gunners gun and runners run but both are better scenarios than when quitters quit.

              • There are more people farming the strikes than there are taking their sweet ass time. Which means [b]you[/b] are in the minority, and the majority of us shouldn't have to cater to your slow pace. If you want to go slow, make a fireteam, most other players are grinding for the loot. Also, as a so called experienced player, aren't you tired of killing the same pointless ads every strike? Yes, there are certain areas where you need to kill the enemies to advance. But why waste time killing things you don't need to? Especially when there is an extremely low chance that those random enemies will give you any kind of useful reward. It's just wasting time, which some players don't have a lot of. If you want to shoot stuff at your own pace, play patrol. That's what it's there for. Something to do when you want to go at your own pace or explore

                  • Yeah, im gonna have to side with some of the commenters on this one. "Playing strike as intended" is literally anyway its played as long as they end up shooting the boss. Those who play strikes in a playlist without a full fireteam risk being with undesired teammates, whether they be afk, speedrunners, under-leveled, or try to kill it all. Im a kill it all guy, but im usually pretty fast about it. Never really surprised when i manage to get roughly equal kills to my two teammates combined. If i see em run through the shreiker room before Alak-hul, ill go for it. Run past area before Archon priest, ill go for it. Room before Valus, same. You get the gist.

                    • So you're unhappy because you can't play your way but you're blaming other people for playing the way they want to... Maybe you are the one who should find a team of players who want the same experience as you but don't ask players in a public lobby to bend to your will.

                    • If i get matchmade with asshats, i get them killed and then make them wait for a respawn. I won't revive them. If it's PoE, I'll deliberately sabotage the objectives like the mine dismantling so that the team wipes. You can play the game however you like, and that's fine. But if you're a dick and want to impose your speed runs on my strike experience, well, i am going to make damn sure that i ruin your time.

                      • Reverse what you said: if you want to run strikes your way, then have your own fireteam. Most of us playing this game have ran through these things so many times and we don't need to waste time on unnecessary encounters. On another note: you should thank the players who can turn a 30 minute strike into 10. I think you'll enjoy all the extra time you get.
