Not even mentioned in the patch notes mate.
-
"The following changes to the melee ability will be manually toggled on Tuesday, May 10th at 10AM Pacific" - Hotfix notes released on May 3rd
-
Again, the notes mention nothing about backstab
-
I don't think backstab is in need of a fix.
-
No, 1-hit melee from the front is fine.
-
Shoulder Charge is a one-hit kill from any direction and has a10-foot vertical lock
-
But it's not really a melee, despite how much I hate it, it makes a good subclass perk from a mediocre subclass.
-
What I mean is I don't play my hunter very much, I don't know if it needs to be fixed.
-
Heh, just like Titans and Warlocks have.
plz don't hate me

I'm only joking
-
I totally use that one hit melee on warlock... Oh wait there isn't one. And how Titans have the lowest base damage. Literally shoulder charge is the only good thing for Titan melees.

Actually, backstab and burns notwithstanding, Storm Fist deals the most damage of all melees. It just doesn't deal the most OVERALL damage. Burns are a separate effect and can be caused by a number of sources. Once they fix backstab, Bladedancers might start running fast twitch. That perk is seriously underrated. As for warlocks, it was hinted at during the livestream that Sunsinger has a complete rework on the table. Once we see it (probably Destiny 2 or maybe with the DLC, who knows), Striker Titans will reign king of melee as was intended.
-
But Backstab still makes it a 1-hit melee. If that was an option on all other classes it would be likely used much more. Ergo, the warlock rework likely would not stop it from dealing half health.
-
Backstab would only be a 1 hit melee if you manage to strike from behind your opponent (aka working as originally intended). This is a rather unlikely occurance in PvP, thus diminishing its effective use. Sunsinger's possible and/or impending rework has a lot of room for speculation. Damage wise, they scorch has the lowest initial damage but the 2nd highest overall damage. The only time this is untrue is while Radiance is active, at which point they have the strongest melee in the game bar none.
-
Well radiance is a super so it is balanced you know.
-
I know it is. Just stating the facts. Incidentally, Feedback makes Stormcallers have a pocket Radiance Melee. The damage spike is really high once feedback activates.
