I'd say try it for yourself but you don't even have a titan worth mentioning. It misses as often as it hits, and shotguns stop it cold. It really only shines in tight corridors and coming around corners. In the open a titan gearing up for shoulder charge is an easy target.

I dont think it needs nerfed, but just adjusted. Several times during IB people Shoulder Charged into at least one Hammer of Sol and didn't even get hurt, and still managed to kill me from a ridiculous distance. Damage-wise, though, I don't have any issues with it. Idk, maybe those guys were just cheating. But I think Bungie should stop nerfing and buffing shit because they always -blam!- it up.
