Alright so I don't like Warlocks very much. I don't enjoy playing on it. When I do iron banner I hate having to do my warlock. I'm not good with them and I feel cheap using the good set ups. Such as Viking funeral. So I'm thinking about deleting him. And making a second Titan. Titans are my favorite class and I'm best with them. But I don't like leveling up the characters. I know I sound like I'm really indecisive but that's because I am about this. So after a few days I'll do whatever the majority suggest. Thanks guys.
Edit 1: Looks like most of you say keep him. Very persuasive too.
Edit 2: I think I'll keep him and just ignore him until the next dlc or iron banner

I felt the same way so I made a second Titan. I love the way Warlocks look and I appreciate having them in my fire team but they don't fit my play style and they feel dirty and cheap to me. No offense intended to Warlock brothers and sisters.

I main a warlock but use everything. What I found is this. Most people that main a hunter can't handle the jump. Doesn't sound like that's your issue. Iron banner is once a month, so I would say do not make a decision about that character based on one event. My suggestion is this, and keep in mind this is my main character set up, but try using the void walker. It's a very, traditionally speaking, unpopular subclass but it is very effective, especially now that the storm caller was nerfed. Trust me, I'm not joking, viod walker is a very rewarding player to the ones that can use it. I still shock people with what I do with it in kingsfall. People will not mess with me like they did back in the vault days but I think the warlock is extremely rewarding, especially if you aren't using self Rez as that Will make the warlock a boring stick in the mud with less lethality than a level 1 anything (not really but you get what I am saying). Seriously, give it a shot and see what you think. Worse case, you delete it anyways and make a titan. Nova bomb at oryx. At the start have a hunter tether (obvious) and then nova bomb them. If you are running the obsidian, full bomb right back. Then after you stun oryx, let all the thrall come in, tether (again obvious) than nova bomb the shit out of them. Everyone on your team will so many orbs after the second round they won't know what to do with them. It makes the warlock have some form of purpose other than dying in the shade.

There's not really much benefit of having multiple of one character, as they end up the same. If you keep your warlock, you'll still have it if you ever change your mind later. They might tweak warlocks to your liking. Keeping it is the safe option.

1 ReplyLook at the big picture. Videogames are meant to be fun. They are meant to be a pleasent escape from reality. If you don't enjoy something within a videogame, don't use it :).
-
1 ReplyYou can always use your warlock as an infusion character. Just take everything the warlock gets and put it on your hunter or titan
-
2 RepliesPersonally i like having all 3 for a switch up. No warlock would mean no Tlaloc 😐 I mean some just do stuff better (mostly through year 1) such as hunters ran sword more easy and the lamps. Warlocks were good for cheese, such as templar ledge snip or the bridge or pushing atheon or the templar off. Titans were handy for weapons on atheon and very helpful in PoE back in the day. I did flawless raider on my titan because of bubble! You never know when a time like that would arise. Maybe warlocks will be vital next DLC. I didn't vote because i would say keep it because of my personal reasons. You will always have a titan to play anyway. If you do make a titan though at least light level will be easy as hell. Just gear switch. Only you can choose really, fella.

4 RepliesI had the same problem as you I didn't really like my warlock but I wanted to keep it just to have all three characters I didn't feel like leveling up again I ended deleting all my warlock gear and made a new hunter All the year 1 nostalgia just keep me going and just doing a lot of bounties got me to lvl 40 in about 2 days

Well sunsingers are better for trials. For iron banner you probably wanna use stormcaller since enemies will be more bunched up together. Void walker is in between
-
2 RepliesHonestly it's a tough call. I feel like I switch my main character every expansion.
-
If you don't like anything about the character then yes delete it.
-
Do what you want and you can always change again! My personal opinion is, I like having all three for variety and at times it's cool to just play something different!
-
Keep warlock, play COE, just throw grenades, win

2 RepliesYa play what you enjoy best man. If you haven't tried a hunter yet, go for it. I love them. I love having a controlled jump and being agile to dart around. The evade is a game changer for my playstyle. I don't like mage so I would never be a warlock. I feel like titans are too bulky for me but at the end of the day, it's a game. So have fun

2 RepliesThat's why I have 3 hunters. I enjoy playing it. It's your time. Why do play games if you are not having fun? People are always surprised when I say I have 3 hunters its like I committed murder or something haha. but I'm damn good at my class and have more chances at good armor rolls and such. I know that's not an issue compared to early destiny but I am picky and hard to get the right duplicates for each character.

5 RepliesBungie said our characters are supposed to be with us year after year. Destiny 2 you may find a change to Warlocks you like. Besides, having 2 of the same class seems sorta like a waste of time. Why spend hours on a character that the other can do just as well? If you don't want a warlock, then just have 2 characters, no one ever said you need 3 characters. Idk, just my opinion, but having a copy of the same thing, where titan 1 can do what titan 2 can do, just seems like a waste of time. The only difference of one that the other can't copy (once both are equally progressed) is appearance. Not worth it imo. I say keep it

3 RepliesRun voidwalker. More fun and is now actually competitive. But I never understand why people make 2+ of the same class. You already have one, and you could be more beneficial to your team or group with another class. For example, last night in a raid group we had 3 warlocks, 2 Titans and a hunter, we asked one of the warlocks if they could change to a hunter. They said they only had warlocks. Good example right there.

4 RepliesUse fusion grenades instead way more fun in my opinion and run with star fire protacal

If you don't like playing as a warlock, then don't.
